I give up on emulators. They dont come with instructions on how to work them. I gave up and removed them so I can get my HD space back. I tried to ask in the Emulation thread on how to use either MESS or PT, but nobody responded (long ago).

I got my "new" computer back 3 days ago. I use to be a Windows 95 computer, but we gutted it and installed all new hardware and installed windows 2000 Pro. Apparently, my Return of Arcade wont run on win2Kpro. I dont see it listed on the back of the box. I tried to go to Microsofts website and there is no patch or anything to make it run on win2k. Now I am royally pissed off now.

I never was old enough to play the actual arcade version, but I had the 5200 version growing up. I could play it pretty well, better than my sisters. But having to keep pressing the fire buttons really wore out my hand. I though it was a good game. I play it every once and a while now a days.

I sway to the 4 port more than the 2 port. The fact that I dont have to reach behind the TV to slide the switch is a big plus for me.

Any website that tells how to do this mod?

as far as the games acting up, have you tried cleaning the cart for grins? Did you use the same controller for both consoles to take you readings?

I dont see why some people are against the size of it. It fits nicely in my gamming cabinet with my other systems. I dont think its as big as people make it out to be. I am also fine with the controllers. The stock REV. 9 Joysticks I have are flawless for the past 6 months or so. I do have a Wico stick, But in havent used it at all much. I feel the Wico is worse with most of the 5200 library (except Super Cobra and a few others). I think what kills the joy of the stock joystick is the early REV. 7 joystick with its different Potentiometers. I have manage to make it to the "key" level of Pacman with a stock REV. 9 joystick. Try that.

WOW. You actually found games and a system. What part of florida? Id like to at least find games at the thrift stores, but the local flea market people have an underground agreement with them. I asked one store if they ever get any all the time. They said they do, but they dont put it out for sale. Then my friend got a job at the local thrift and he told me the flea market guys are paying the store in advance for the games.

Its hard to make a spring loaded 5200 joystick. You are very limited in the size of the pot and the height of it. I have been trying to build one using the stock 5200 controllers, but getting ideas to fit into that small confined space is hard. I keep trying though

why is everyone so negative about this? So what if Nintendo has the market. Every company has it achilles heel. I think it sells for a decent price and has killer titles, I think it will stick around. Besides,who wants to play new pokemon carts on GBA? Not me.

I feel this way... If you need a Cheat book just to figure out how to work the game, I dont want it. I NEVER used a gamers guide for my SNES games. I was easy to figure out, but hard to master. I just cant get into them either. The Modern stuff has lost my appeal. GBA is the shit for me now.

Sounds like when I accidentaly hook up an SNES power supply intsead of the jag one. Did exactly the same thing. I t made a "pop" noise, then smoke started comming out.
