I trying to fix my blown up jag if I can. I hooked an NES powersupply to it on accident. I took is apart an found capacitor C134 Blown. I need to know if someone has the Power supply of the circuit. I need to know if there is a voltage regulator in the circuit (U38?) I am going to try replacing the Capacitor first to see if it fixes it.

I think you bought one from the same guy that sold me the PAL unit I have. it had a cheap looking cable included for free. All Jags have serial number stickers that were applied over the decal on the bottom of the unit if I recall. I think Toshiba Jags might say toshiba on the chips inside. They WERE the ones that came out first. Oh...yeah.... Toshiba Jags have a DIP style A/D converter IC on between the joystick connectors too. If that helps identify it. I took apart my blown up "K" series Jag, and the two processors have no markings that say toshiba OR Motorola. The MC68000 Processor has the Motorola symbol on it though. Neither of my K Jags have the A/D Switch. I wonder

Ok, This is a stupid question, for give me. Was Atari the company that released Tempest in the arcade halls? I have the music video of Rush's "subdivisions" and at the end of the video, the boy is playing Tempest.

Im gonna try replacing the capacitor before getting a new one. I cant seem to find any other components discolored or burned. The cap popped when I turned it on. Maybe its the first to get blown.

Correction, I zapped it. I used the wrong power supply. I accidentally used a NES PS. Is there a way to fix it? If I replace the blown cap, could it fix it? Or do I have to sell it as parts now? I got it for 30 bucks with 2 controllers and Tempest 2000.

I got a Jag from the flea market today and Im having problems with it. I plugged it in when I got home and turned it on. The screen started acting funny and then heard a pop inside the jag. I took the top off and the C134 capacitor in the lower right corner has popped its top. what caused this to happen? I am using a sega power supply since I couldnt find and original. Its rated 9V 1.2A.

I am having problems with my front loader... I dont get the blinking problem, Instead I get a pink screen ALL the time. I bought this thing today at a rummage sale for 10 bucks, the owner said that the games would no longer play. I took the unit apart and removed the 72 pin connector. I used a cleaning kit that I got with the unit and proceeded to clean the terminals. Put it all back together and now I got a pink screen? If you leave the cartrige out, you get the blinking light.

Ok, I know that the 5200 controlers have problems with the buttons wearing down and not working. My question is, What happens when the joystick wont work in a certain direction? My nephew has a 5200 and both of this joysticks wont work in a certain direction. Is there a fix for this or are they paper weights now?

Thank you! I found my problem. My TV/Game switch box broke a wire on the inside.

I have just a pacman cart available if anyone wants it (for a small fee).

I have played it all day today and love it... Except the non centering controllers. I never remembering having a problem with them. But after playing super breakout and super cobra, they suck. I manage to get to the level 11 on cobra, but I ran into the walls alot of times because of the stick not centering up. But super cobra is cool.

I finally got my 5200 that I won on ebay in today. (http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16193) The seller packaged the system really well. The original box was placed inside a shipping box to protect it from damage. All the components inside the box was packaged very well and everything is in EXCELLENT shape. I plugged every thing in before I left a compliment on e-bay. Both Controllers WORK! They play like brand new ones. I have spent all evening playing pacman. An it just happen to arrive on my Birthday too

I found out is was a 2 port (I remember the switchbox) through the pictures of it during christmas that year.

Ok, I won this 5200 system last night and I want your opinions (paid too much, good buy, etc.) I dont know how much these are asking for, but I think I got a good deal. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1394693550

Hello peoples , My intellivision controlers keep malfunctioning. After about 3-4 hours of playtime, the fire buttons dont work or the paddle wont operate in a certain direction. I keep taking them apart and cleaning them with a pencil eraser, but I tired of cleaning them. Is there a way to make a longer lasting contact between the printed circuts? Also, How many people have the clamp on joystick for them? When I bought the INTV, it came with two Point Master Quik-Stiks. I have never seen anything around like them. The joysticks help out a little for certain games. One of the controlers "medallions" in the center of the paddle has a small scratch in it and the suction cup of the joystick wont stick to it. well, thanks in advance.
