I swapped my regular SNES with this one and it worked perfect. What does the Red, White, and black cable do and is it safe to cut if needed?
Glad to see that it works for you. I'd have bought it off of you if you were interestd in selling it.

I w0ould suspect that those wires might go to the reset button inside so that you don't have to touch the SNES unit itself to reset. Is there a button on the kiosk for resetting? Or perhaps there's an internal timer that automatically resets at intervals? Just some thoughts.
COngrats. I'm a little envious.

It resets on a timer. Also the sticker lies. The SNES works just fine (aside from the sound glitches) on a normal TV. I was thinking of selling it but wow it seems much easier to completely refurbish than I thought. Just some soap and water and a new bulb for the marquis. But yeah I'm taking this year off from garage sale hunting. I'm just going to give someone else a chance lol.
Tired of being "Sumguy"?

Oh I also removed the locking bar so I don't accidentally lock it. It can be reinstalled very easily.

Vacuumed, cleaned and reassembled. Suprisingly not a single spider egg. Not even in the marquis. Notice the player 2 controller attachment was left as is just in case they want to fix it themselves. Also because a member on here who I don't know if they want me to say their name, told me not to touch anything in case he/she wants to buy it.
Also found out why this damn thing kept resetting itself.

So guys here's what I found at a garage sale today for $25. The SNES is basically destroyed. Cosmetically it's not that bad but here's a video of what it sounds like.
I will post pics of the restoration process in here.
How I got it
Monitor taken off and cleaned

Come on guys. I need to know quick.
What part "doesn't work"?
No sound in all games other than Super Mario World. And graphical glitches. Here's a video.

Fuck. It doesn't work. Should I go take it back or put it up on craigslist as is.

PICK THAT SNES UP NAO!!!
-
If all else fails, get a 360 controller.
-
Probably has some bad image burn in. Anything really wrong with it other than the key in the picture and the chip you mentioned?
-
How did you get the 7800 for free?
-
I'm on Long Island. I might just take the ferry over.

Sumguy got me today. Apparently an NES and roughly 50 games for $20 5 minutes before i got there.

Got some good CD's for $1 each. Soundgarden - Superunknown, Sublime, Pearl Jam - Ten, Ozzy Osbourne - Ozzmossis. Also got a 19" LCD Monitor that looks like it was in a tobacco factory for $2.
Those are all great albums, especially Ozzmosis. That's the record Ozzy should have retired on.
Yeah. Thunder Underground is unbelievable.

Is it normal for the image to be slightly warped? You can see it in this pic. Also what bulb does it take and where can I get one. I know it's an 18 inch but what wattage.
