Is this guy dumb or forgetting he keeps typing 2 extra 0's

What is "ridiculous" about an ebay seller with a 100 percent rating placing a game for sale with a 99 cent starting price and no reserve, then over 33 people going online and bidding it up to a high price? Looks like the free market at work. Maybe video game collecting has evolved past the days of finding stuff at flea markets and Goodwill stores. It happens with a lot of hobbies. You either evolve with the market, adjust you expectations and goals, or find another hobby. I have been reading more and more threads complaining about prices and availability of games and systems. Did you think video game collecting would stay a flea market/garage sale type of activity forever? Face it, the bargins will always be getting harder and harder to find, and as much as we would like it, members of AtariAge do not set the value of video games, the free market does. And that guy with the couple hundred Odysseys. -

Lucky. You got carts. My area's dry for Atari 8-bit stuff. I just happened to see the cart on the shelf so I asked if she had the console. -

Thats a great feeling isn't it? Finding something valuable you know you can flip for something you want. I've done that a few times. It's great! Yeah it feels great! This might just be what gets me into classic computers. -

Got a mint condition Atari XE with the Light Gun, official controller, keyboard and a copy of Barnyard Blaster for a trade of a Saturn and 3 controllers. The Saturn only cost me $25 so it was a good deal overall. I also hit up the local thrift shop and found yet another gaming item buried in the board games. A Digital Diamond handheld baseball game. -

It's hard to believe that modern consoles still use the rubber pads. -
Well how much was the lot? Something insane right?

Yeah if it was the Hammerhead I showed, you would have missed out on a VERY early xbox prototype.

Did this happen to be it?

I really just had to facepalm at the slanderous craigslist ads. He just made himself look like an idiot. Nathan, for such a "terrible" shop you must be doing much better than him for this jerk to feel threatened enough to slander you. -

The old gray one? If so just apply some pressure on the connector where the ribbon cable plugs in.

Tips on Preserving Your 72-pin Connector

Instead of bending the pins next time, run it through the dishwasher with jet-dry. It usually takes off all the oxidation. -

Pretty good scored today. Decided to hit up a place called Island Thrift in a very rough part of Long Island. I went to the place where they normally keep games and I got a good deal on a pretty clean and scratch free GameGear with 4 games and a battery pack. Only $20. Then I went to the little kids section where they usually have infant toys and what not and out of the corner of my eye I saw this under a bunch of old board games. only 5 freaking dollars!!!
