showing off's the whole point. we don't actually want to wait for a disaster to show how awesome they are. I say car/rv setups count for survival kits for extended journies, let's see them. I just got my portable solar USB charger today--the hippies totally lied about how awesome the sun is, but I still think she'll slowly charge my gameboy whenever my usb->GBM charge cable arrives. Hahaha, exactly! I didn't build this thing so I could be all ho hum about it haha. I'll have pictures up soonish, I hope. I still am trying to simply find a good place for the saturn to mount to. Glovebox is too small I think. LOL you can drive your car...... while in your car..... while in your car.

So were you dealing with a four port model? Maybe it was the switch box that went poof? It is a 4 port but it's definitely the power supply. I shorted it out on accident. You probably just blew the fuse. I found this at atarihq.com It has 2 screws on the bottom and still won't open. Probably just stuck together after so many years, you might have to pry it open. These designers are assholes. There are screws under the rubber feet. Why would they make two obvious screws and then two hidden ones. Anyway it works now so thank you very much!! -

Ok I blew the power supply up on the 5200 by plugging it in incorrectly but it did work before I cleaned it. The controllers are FUBAR as usual. -

I tried to get my camera but couldn't find it. Lets just say that the cartridge port was half full of cat hair, and what looked like melted sugar was drizzled on the plastic parts. The metal and the logo still had it's plastic cover on it so when I pulled it off, it was in immaculate condition. I will post some after pictures when I find my camera. -

Got an Atari 5200 complete with all hookups for $20. The thing looks like it came from the land of melted lollipops and cat hair. -

Not bad? Dont be so humble! This listing for the genesis was something like this. "Sega Genesis $10" No longer play. Seriously that's all it said. -

Not a bad craigslist score today. Model 2 Genesis/Sega CD and 3 controllers - $10 Model 2 Saturn with 2 controllers, NHL 97 and Sonic 3D Blast - $12 -
Something tells me you won't get a lot of people relating to you on this forum . Yeah, true. I never really noticed technical innovation until about 2004. Wow, how old are you again? 18

That was sold to a private collector a couple of years ago. http://www.gamesniped.com/2007/09/13/unreleased-prototype-sega-dreamcast-zip-drive/

Really the only things that impressed me was the level of detail in Project Gotham Racing 3. Also I nearly soiled myself after seeing Gears of War for the first time.

HAHA!! I remember that Sony hype - people did take it very seriously and believed it without question -including myself! I remember when the CIA got suspicious when Saddam Hussein ordered 10 PS2s for his relatives. People were suspecting that he was going to launch missiles with them. Idiots. Why wouldn't he just buy a dedicated computer.

That should have seriously been the Dreamcast in the first place. I bet the console war would have been very different if the DC came with DVD. Why would it have? When it was made DVDs weren't even in the picture. The only thing Dreamcast suffered from was bad timing and poor management. Actually it had great timing. Just very bad decisions from then on. No DVD support, no copy protection, no EA sports license.

Wow. I want that Xbox kiosk!!! I remember seeing those and always wondered what happened to them. How did you get that one?
-
No dvd payer was ever made for the DC but a mockup has been made and floats around the conventions.

Got some cool stuff this weekend. I got a Hudson Multitap for the SNES. A weird fold up non-analog Playstation controller. Bust-A-Move 3 for the Saturn and Space Harrier for the Master System. -
