And still Gaymestop fails to see the market for classic games and instead focuses on overcharging peripherals.

I have two of those "Nintendo Game Plan" posters. I need to look for them though.

The Official "Thrift finds" Thread

They're all over Long Island but none in Nassau county for some reason. They all have great prices but if you are looking for Dreamcast games or any for of hardware, stay FAR away from Sayville. They wanted $25 for Sega GT last time I went. Oh and $90 for an NES with 1 controller. I asked why so much and the lady said "that's the going price". I laughed and walked out. There's also a bunch in Pennsylvania and Connecticut but I haven't been to them yet. -

Bayshore Play-N-Trade undercharges a lot of uncommon to rare games. They had a sealed Final Fantasy 7 for $50. Anyway It's nice to see a fellow long islander on this site. Damn you John Tavares! HAHAHAAHH too bad the Islanders suck recently. Also the stadium is crap too. No ventilation and it's always dirty. -

Super Nintendo - Christmas 1992 from Funcoland for $200 I believe. This was my first console and of course I no longer have it. I gave it to my cousin in 1996 and he broke it. N64 - Christmas 1996 from Toys'R'Us for $200. I traded it in when only Crusin' USA and Diddy Kong Racing kept my attention. PS1 - Christmas 1997 from Toys'R'Us for $200. I loved this thing sooooo much. Came with analog pads and I distinctly remember my mom trying to use them like a mini steering wheel by twisting them. It came with Gran Turismo 2 and I still have Disc 2 but Disc 1 is FUBAR. I no longer have this system as with the SNES I gave it to my cousin and he proceeded to rip the lid off of it. Safe to say this was the last console I would ever give to him. Gameboy Color - Christmas 1998 - Toys'R'Us for $100. Man this thing was great. It was teal and came with Pacman Color and Pokemon Red. I remember not knowing how to get out of Ash's house for like a week. I have no clue what happened to it. I wrote Michael DiBenedetto on the top by the infa red sensor and it's most likely missing the battery cover. If anybody has it please let me know. PS2 - Christmas 2000 - BestBuy for $300. This is the only original console I still own. My parents managed to snag one of the last ones at BestBuy on launch day. It came with a copy of Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. The system is pretty messed up though. The disc drive shattered but thankfully the rest of the console is in tact and still works. I turned it on last month to see if it would and it came right on. I got an Xbox shortly after my PS2 broke in 2004 from Gamestop for $100 with a copy of Halo. I still have that but I somehow deleted the C drive when trying to remove the softmod. Xbox 360 - February 16 2005 - Target $400. Man Do I owe my parents for this one. I haven't stopped playing it since I got it. It was kind of a late Christmas present. Genesis Nomad - Summer 2005 - $7 at a garage sale. Mint and plays perfect. GameGear - September 2005 - $15 with carrying case and 10 games. This kid in my English class stole it from some kid a number of years back at a basketball game I later found out. Dreamcast - June 2006 - My friend for $50. This is one amazing deal. A Dreamcast, Cables, 2 Controllers, 5 VMUs, a Fishing Rod Controller and a copy of Pro Bass Fishing. The Dreamcast itself looked like it came out of a porno. I cleaned it with rubber gloves and oxy clean. PS1 again - Summer 2006 - Side of the street. It looks mint and plays mint. Nuff said. NES - Winter 2007 - Same friend as before for $25. Came with absolutely nothing. It also looked like it was covered in ..... I'm not gonna go there Genesis - Forgot when 2007 - Next door neighbor didn't want his anymore so he gave it to me. The rest of my finds I posted on here so if anybody is interested (probably not) they can look back at my earlier posts.

Yeah especially since it sounds like it's taking advantage of more sound channels.

It's so close though that a fairly accurate port could be made.

The guy hoarding Odysseys is now overpricing 2600's
STICH666 replied to STICH666's topic in Classic Console Discussion
The guy selling this is almost 70 years old. He told me that he trying to sell off his remaining Atari stock. Not at that price he's not Yep. Exactly my point. My guess is he was overcharged for the systems in the first place and is trying to minimize loss. -
Adjust the pot.
-
Oh it was made in Week 48 of 1977 which is somewhere between December 20 and December 30 since I don't know which calendar system they used (some start on Sunday but most start on Monday).
-
Sam. Did yours come with JVC controllers or regular Genesis pads. The Play-N-Trade near me has a JVC controller that hasn't been touched since everyone thinks it's 3rd party.

Best neo geo games? (not fighters!)

Bust-A-Move/Puzzle Bobble (depending on if it's a Japanese or US system) is a must own. Also Metal Slug 3. -
Mine is in pretty nice shape. 43137M with Channel select hole, no switch. and for some reason there's no orange border around the switch panel. It doesn't seem to be worn in any way.

Yeah. Mine is way up there. 43137

Price Tags on vintage boxes- keep 'em or peel 'em?
STICH666 replied to dr. kwack's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I usually keep them. My Atari 7800 box has a Caldor's sticker on it. That place hasn't been around for over 15 years. -

Just got a CIB Sunnyvale Heavy Sixer from my friend for $50. He found it in his grandmothers attic. The mint condition 1983 penny in the box kinda tells me the last time it was turned on. -

Sweet deal Stich! Is it a good version? Never played it myself. Actually it's a great version. The Saturn is still the best one IMO but this one is great to have been pulled off on an early 16 bit system. -
