I'm looking at my friend's 7800. He doesn't touch it. He wants $50 for it. It comes with the console, cords, 2 controllers, the box and the manuals. Everything is in good to very good condition. The box looks excellent but the console of course has denting on the metal strip. What's a good price?

Hell not not 3 but 4 maybe. The DC's full potential was never unlocked. If it were, I could see Wii quality games which are a little above the Xbox. not really going to get xbox quality out of a DC. it had enough trouble trying to look better than the PS2. If somehow a DC game was created that pushed the hardware hard enough to look like an xbox title, that would just mean the xbox needs more pushing. still dreamcast did have some 'near ps2' racers. By that I mean that at ps2's launch DC's end of life racers looked almost as good--later PS2 titles fairly handily trounced DC. I really liked the graphics on MSR and Sega GT, but I think Ferrari 355 Challenge was the prettiest. Cockpit view with steering wheel--nice. No those games were pretty much just launch titles in comparison to what it could do. There's not many games that were on the other 3 consoles that the Dreamcast couldn't have done. GT4, Doom 3 and Ninja Gaiden come to mind.

My local Salvation Army is selling a Gamecube for $80 but I am hesitant to buy it. They don't accept returns, and while the system looks mint, it’s a big risk if the system doesn't work. My local Goodwill is selling PS1 systems for $9.99 but they're beat to hell. One of them is actually missing the CD-Rom cover tray! lol WTF? $80? That's insane!!!! As much as I hate them, just go to Gamestop.

Be careful with the Turbografx 16 CD. They're very hard to find working. I plan on getting a 7800 or a Wii.

Mine hardly gets any play due to the scarcity of games in my area. If you can find games for it, then go get one.
