Well, you are wrong. This is a very valid reason and one of the valid reasons Ebay allows.

What can a seller do to protect themselves on ebay?
kennybrooks replied to Hyper_Eye's topic in Auction Central
Unfortunately, Ebay will side with the buyer. I would go ahead and issue the refund. If you have them officially go through Ebay it will count against you. It is what Ebay has become and is simply a bad deal for the seller. But as Ebay knows, if you want to sell on their site you will abide by their wishes. If you can find a better avenue to sell, I would use it. Again though, Ebay is where you get the most money (and hassle) it would seem. -
Finished at $3055 for future reference.

If this becomes available, I will buy one.

Someone has put a case of crap up on eBay
kennybrooks replied to Chuck D. Head's topic in Auction Central
I remember in 2000 when these same cases were being sold on Ebay for $29.99. That seller sold many of those at that time. -
Man, a neutral feedback for that. As a seller on Ebay, it is hard enough dealing with the normal issues that arise, let alone someone who complains when an item arrives without any real issues. An email to the seller to let them know you thought that shipping media mail was not proper would have sufficed, in my opinion. That neutral hurts that seller more than you know. I do not advocate shipping items that are not media, media mail, but the post office can and does open media mail boxes (just received one this month that said opened by the USPS to verify contents -- the first ever and I have bought thousands of items over the years). Hopefully you let the seller know before leaving the neutral feedback and not just taking the opinions of everyone on this board.

Activision seems to have done this alot. I bought River Raid in the 1980s sealed from Zayre's and it ended up being Spider Fighter with a River Raid label. Kind of disappointing when you are expecting River Raid and get Spider Fighter.

I would also buy this, put me down for one if it ever comes about.

Medium Bob's Red Sea Crossing Auction on Ebay.
kennybrooks replied to MediumBob's topic in Auction Central
I just went to bid and received a warning that PayPal will not process the bid amount. How will you accept payment if PayPal is not able to be accepted? "Please note that PayPal (and some credit card companies) generally will not process payments in excess of a certain dollar amount. If the winning bid amount is above this level, it may be necessary to contact the seller to arrange other payment methods. This is not something the seller has direct control over, so please keep this in mind when providing feedback." -

RED SEA CROSSING is up for auction right now at Gamegavel
kennybrooks replied to nagn2's topic in Auction Central
The reserve is most likely $10,000. I know that much was offered for it prior to another being discovered. -
Well, I believe someone took a chance. Probably allhallowseve or school_girl_in_a_short_dress would be my guess. They also snagged the 3 swordquest games.

I think it was a side deal, so I emailed him and let him know it was valuable and he has relisted it by itself: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 221116701908

Looking to trade Revenge of the Apes complete for the Atari 2600 with box, manual and cart in nice shape for another homebrew. I did just pick up a collection of over 80 carts (55+ boxed) of homebrews and prototypes, but hopefully someone has something to trade for this. Send a list and I can see if there is one I do not have. Thanks Kenny

I do not collect PAL games, but this is how you should sell an Atari game on AtariAge. Let people know what the high bid is and see if anyone wants to beat it. I appreciate good sellers doing this.

Rare Superman Cart - Up For Private Sale
kennybrooks replied to memugking's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
It would be nice for a historical reference to know how much it did actually sell for and fair to everyone who made an offer for this game. It did sell for more than $500, but what price exactly? You do not have to tell who purchased it, but for how much would be good to know. -
