    don't get all the hate towards the Atari 5200..sure the controllers suck if they don't work,but when they do...OMFG does that system rock lol. Wayyy better than NES and I know alot of ppl wouldn't agree but oh well..(there's more sh-tty games for NES) ;p

      Preach it Sister! The NES is waay overrated. Atari's star had fallen considerably by the late 80's(sadly), and Nintendo profited greatly from the vacuum. They had Super Mario, Zelda, Tetris, and some great Arcade ports, but what followed was a crap-storm of vapid, mediocre, side-scrolling rubbish. For me, the 5200 is a superior gaming experience by comparison in every conceivable way, from the vibrant colors to the sharp graphics, straight forward game-play, and high quality games.

      atariron...yea totally agree with you 100%!! :) TBH...when NES came out and Atari stopped supporting the 5200 in favor of the 7800(which imo is no way better than the 5200), I remember when I was little feeling really disappointed. Grew up playing the 5200 and no way did the NES top what the 5200 did in the early 80's. Sure alot of the Capcom titles,Super Mario,Metroid and Zelda are legendary but you're right,what came after those really sucked. Atari 5200 does have better co...
