  1. I love plenty of racing games, far too many to name... Lately been really into Super Hang-On and Slipstream. Super Hang-On especially. I also love Rock N Roll Racing and the Road Rage series. Also love some of the overhead type racing games like Super Sprint and RC Pro-Am!
  2. I tried out Battlantis! lolz That's a crazy Space Invaders clone, and not a bad game compared to Dark Adventure. I also tried the Japanese version of Dark Adventure called Devil World which is supposed to be better, but I still found it sucky. playing some good games this Halloween weekend btw! Avengers In Galactic Storm (Arcade) ............................................. This may be my favorite fighting game at the moment! Dropzone (NES).....................................................................................This game sucks ok! Didn't like it. Hellfire (Arcade).............................................................Good shmup from '89. Has a Sega Genesis feel to it.
  3. A third FM station is picking up my show soon!! I'll be on KPCR 101.9 in Santa Cruz and still airing on KXSF 102.5. And this week legend horror host Joe Bob Briggs will be calling in again for my new Halloween/virtual haunted house episode!! 💗 Yea time to crush all the podcasts with some real Nintendo Metal on the air. Funny how all the worthless cancel culture dorks tried to diss my show years ago but it's still around crushing all the other podcasts to bits!!! lolz

Keep going. If you want some guest suggestions, why not have Veronica Taylor from Pokemon and Slayers? (Or for that matter, John Stocker from the Mario cartoons if he's still alive, which I doubt?)

  4. Dark Adventure (Arcade) ........................... worst game Konami ever made imo. Gauntlet ripoff but not as good. Phantoms II (Arcade).............................. This shmup is bonkers! Boogie Wings (Arcade).........................Another crazy game. Says "Winners don't use drugs" at the beginning, but I think Data East were definitely on drugs when they made this. Love the Christmas stage the best!
  5. Gorf (ColecoVision) '96 Flag Rally (Arcade) ..................... The best Rally X hack I ever played, even better than the original with an anime theme! Here's a sample vid of it I found on Youtube, everyone should play it.. Funky Fish (Arcade)........................... Weird ass Defender meets Pac-Man under the sea game lol.

Also they have another Taylor Hawkins tribute  concert coming up with yet another Rush reunion on the 27th!! I hope they play Subdivisions on the next one.

Subdivisions is one of my favorites, and that would be good, but I'm hoping for Red Barchetta. My favorite Rush song, currently anyway...;)

I've been going down the Rush rabbit hole myself recently, which is blaringly obvious if you look at my recent status updates over the past couple of months.

It started with me finally pulling my vintage 80's JVC rack stereo system out of storage this past year and finding a great deal of my vintage LP collection had been water damaged. I saved most of the vinyl itself, but the album covers themselves were all ruined.

Anyway, one thing led to another, and I went hunting for a couple of replacement Rush LP's, discovered the new remasters, bought a couple and reminded myself that Rush is my favorite band of all time. Of course the Foo Fighters are another of my favorite bands.

As far as a Rush farewell tour and Neil Peart & Dave Grohl, I agree with you completely. If it weren't for Taylors tragic death, I'd have dreamed of a Rush farewell tour along with the Foo Fighters as the opening act, and then Taylor and Dave both drumming for Rush after, or with Dave on guitar along with Alex and Geddy, and Taylor drumming. Could you imagine Alex, Geddy and Dave all at the front of the stage head-banging in sync, playing with their guitars! With Taylor going psycho on the drums!

There was a small taste of what might have been at the 2013 R&R hall of fame induction...

      Hey, I can dream can't I?

Of course if it weren't for Taylor's death, we may never have seen Alex and Geddy on stage again, let alone playing with Dave. And my farewell tour dream would never have come to pass.

  7. Defender 2000 (Atari Jaguar) The End (Stern)(Arcade) Photo Y2K (Arcade) ...................... weird memory type game!!
  8. Emulators are okay but they're not even that accurate. I play alot of Atari 5200 on emulation as well as the actual hardware, and imo no way are the emulators even close. Same goes with some 7800 games.
  9. It's an honor to be writing music with metal bassist Bob Daisley,he played on most of the Ozzy albums.  he's appearing on my band's first album and the Beastie Boys' drummer is also appearing! Also just got news Kane Hodder who played Jason in Friday the 13th is appearing on my podcast streaming on Spotify. I'm also on the air right at this moment playing the best Nintendo metal on FM radio crushing all the other podcats!!!!! Tune in... http://stream.kxsf.fm:8000/index.html?sid=1

  10. I spoke to another Good Humor rep just now,and was assured the WWE ice cream is still being made phew!! At first I thought they were discontinued. Along with the Dale Earnhardt ice creams I need to grab another box soon!! :rolling::rolling: Anyways I'm airing another radio episode on the FM dial in Northern California tonight, and gonna interview the voice actress who played Minmei in Robotech! So it's gonna be an anime themed set. I'll drop the link later when I'm on the air if anyone's interested.

Whoa, you had Reba West? That is something you don't see often.

  11. I am not a sports game fan much, but when I do get into that I usually reach for the various skateboarding titles and Ninja Golf 7800 😺 Especially Ninja Golf for the collector's vaue, great game. Cool Boarders the arcade version is really good as well. I love pool games too like 9 Ball Shootout.
  12. I contacted the Good Humor ice cream company recently regarding the WWE Superstars ice cream and was told they are now discontinued WTF!?! Bummer!!!! :_( I hope they comeback again soon.Last time I found a box was last May.

I've never had a wwf\e ice dream bar. Even back in the eighties. Thus really hurts my wrestling feelings

  13. My gaming session last night comprised of: The Last Day (Arcade) ..................... Love this shmup alot!! 😺 Flicky (Arcade) Raiden (Atari Lynx) ........... wow nice port of the arcade.
  14. Would never go into debt, especially because of video games lol. I feel lucky to have started collecting in the 00's decade during college when things were still super cheap. For instance I bought a Sega Nomad for only 50 bucks in 2009,and now that thing goes for around $500!! Sealed Kirby's Adventure I bought for only 30 bucks that same year. Makes me feel sorry for people who started collecting recently,I take it they're the ones going into debt lol.
  15. Not kidding about my skills landing the plane in Top Gun Nes! It really isn't even that hard to do. I might make a video of it for Youtube someday. Anyways last 3 I got into... - Super Hang-On (Genesis) - Ms.Pac-Man (Arcade 1UP) - Pachinko Sexy Reaction (Arcade)
  16. Guilty Gear Petit 2 (Bandai Wonderswan Color) .............. One of my favorite fighting games atm. I beat it in one sitting using Fanny, first try even. Top Gun(NES)............. I can land the plane while drunk no joke!! lol Ms.Pac-Man(Arcade 1UP 40th anniversary edition)
  17. Chuck E. Cheese's Match Game (Arcade) ...................... goes well with my frozen pizza!! lol Phantoms II (Space Invaders hardware) (Arcade) Psychic World (SMS)
  18. Imagic game designer Rick Levine and original Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward both appearing on my radio show later tonight!! And the 7800 game based on my podcast and me has been back in stock on Ebay lately. Be sure to grab a copy!!! ?

  20. Do you see game prices ever going back down? Nah lol.. that's like asking if comic book prices will ever go back down, they'll keep rising no matter what. You were lucky to start collecting games and systems when they were still cheap during the 00's! Most stuff I bought for super cheap then is getting sold now for insane prices. For instance,I remember buying my sealed Kirby's Adventure for only $25 back in 2009,and now it's being sold for nearly a thousand bucks. Bought a boxed 2600 with over 30 games that year too for just $28 bucks. Now I can prolly sell the same lot on Ebay for around 400.
  21. Buccaneer (Arcade) Spy Hunter (Arcade) Planet Patrol (2600) ?
  22. Well duh,I know it's not the same exact game. Starship Hector uses the same art as Star Soldier on Famicom is what I meant.
  23. I never considered the Chubby Cherub NES cover to be anime either lol. I draw anime style myself so I'd know. The earliest? Imo it might be the game IQ 180 Memory Teaser for the Atari 2600 from 1980... Also Starship Hector(aka Star Soldier) for the NES...
  24. As I answered on the other thread... I really love the music from Mr. Do's Castle! It sounds about as complex as SMB,especially the tune that plays when it's game over. Sounds like it would fit in with Zelda type music. edit- i forgot I already answered here. Wow this thread goes awhile back! lol
  25. Rad Mobile (Arcade) Burgertime (TI-99/4A) Chisholm Trail (TI-99/4A) ...... ok this shmup is tough lol
