Unfortunately, every port of that game doesn't come anywhere close to the arcade experience. I will give the 2600 version credit for doing about as well as could be done for the platform.

I think the 5200 version is the best. The controls are really good in that version.

That is one title that really didn't port over to home consoles very well. I though the Star Trek arcade game ported over decently though.
