    I got my ass kicked in Pinburgh - I never saw that coming. After two almost 12 hour days playing pinball Thursday and Friday, I could only stomach a few more hours of playing on Saturday. I left early Sunday morning.

     

    To be honest, the show wasn't as good as years past for the simple reason that they got rid of the arcade tournament.

     

    I made a decision beforehand not to play in Pinburgh in 2019 so I can save my vacation days for something else. If I go to the show next year I'll come in Saturday and leave Sunday.

     

    It wasn't a horrible show, but I really think that not having the arcade tournament (and losing the Kong Off a couple of years ago) has made it less exciting than it was in years past.

    I'm looking forward to it and every year it seems like the show is over before it started - it goes by quick.

     

    But I've already decided that I'm not going to play in Pinburgh next year. I need to save my vacation time for something else - like a week at a beach or lake and do a whole lot of nothing. I think next year I'll just drive out Saturday morning and leave Sunday night.

    I dont know of its just me but it seems to be losing a little more of the magic every year.

    I haven't gone for a few years now. The big draw for me was the marketplace so since I don't collect anymore there really is nothing to get me to come out.

     

    If they would expand to arcade and pinball I might change my mind. The arcade lineup has always been pretty lean except for the year Toddy Tuckey took machines.

    Bump.

     

    Anybody attending the 2018 replayfx? It appears the video game world championships wont be happening this year, no mention of it.

     

    The arcade tournament was removed because "lack of interest."

     

    I will be there playing in Pinburgh. I was hoping to play in the arcade tournament when I was done with Pinburgh. Oh well...

    When I played Madden years ago and created custom teams the announcers wouldn't pronounce the names. If I remember correctly they would call the player by their jersey number. Has Madden advanced yet where the announcers pronounce the custom player names? I'd like to name my players "Shitforbrains" and stuff like that and hear the announcers call them by name.
