  1. Is that documented in the manual? Why make it difficult and just add that as another game option?
  2. http://www.watoday.com.au/digital-life/com...90727-dypl.html Interesting read...incidentally, I checked out the C64Web and it took forever to load...
  3. Pac-Man Plus is already on the original PMC. With that said you could put Super Pac-Man and Pac & Chomp Chomp on PMC II instead. Along with Jr. of coarse. Is that right? Where's that? The only options I have at startup are Pac, Ms. Pac and Options
  4. I think there's an old thread around here comparing certain Activision games to arcade games. They may not have the same names, but the games are pretty much the same. Yes, there was. Here is a link: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=145002 Nyuk-nyuk...I got flamed for that one!!! : ]
  5. I spent a total of 80 seconds at the site...the reviews are too long...I like videogamecritic.net where the reviews are like one paragraph and they have a summary page of all the grades. It's an easier read...
  6. Good thing they didn't use that label!! The centipede looks like that toddler toy...
  7. What are the chances of writing "Pac-Man Collection II" with Jr. Pac-Man, Pac-Man Plus and a speed up hack for Ms. Pac-Man?
  8. What you need is to drink N.O. Xplode while you are playing. Just read the directions and warnings before proceeding...

  10. You obviously missed the crushed Target Fun box which alone is worth $4900...
  11. Alright I just bought a house last October and we're getting ready to remodel the basement into a rec room. Maybe what I'll do is take pix of the basement and post them for you folks to mark up with some ideas. I have two arcade cabinets to put in so far and upwards of six in the future. Along with that I have my modest console collection consisting of 26-52-7800, CV, C64, NES, SNES, N64, Game Cube, PS1 & 2, two flashbacks and a Powerjoy. I have some rock music related artwork from my old basement that I will incorporate which consists of framed picture discs and albums, concert flyers etc. To start it off, what color combinations (main, accent wall and carpet) work the best for an arcade room? What lighting and accessories would look really cool? Post and links for inspiration if you have any... I have checked out Lunacity Arcade and http://bpulliam.smugmug.com/Arcade for ideas. Thanks, this should be fun...
  12. ok, so who went? I went. Got there about 6:58am and left about 7:02am, so that should tell you how it went. I can only speak regarding Atari 2600 stuff, because that is all I collect and look for.I saw about 4 common boxed games and a bin of commons rarity 1-4. Then he had some other his "rare" carts set up on another table. When I saw a loose SSSnake cart for $10.00 I knew it was time to go. I was there and I probably just missed you. I can't believe when looking at your profile that you and I were born on the same day...I thought I mistakingly clicked on my own profile... As suspected, this was a collector's fire sale and no one was going to walk away with the deal of the century. However, I did get a fair deal in my mind. Here's what I picked up: one Wico 5200 controller with y adapter in box two CV Super Action Controllers two Atari Proline Joysticks CV 2600 expansion module five 5200 carts about a dozen 2600 carts three PS1 games I took pix and will post them on Monday.
  13. yeah well, according to another member on this site the problem is that you're not a good video gamer because you are not able to adapt to the 5200 controller... Check out that thread... I'm surprised it hasn't been locked yet.
  14. :-o That's just amazing. Either a major collector died or is going bankrupt or a store just closed up. I wonder what they'd take for the entire lot. Too bad I'm both broke and hundreds of miles away. I plan on going...it's a 30 minute drive but since it is so dry around here lately I gotta see what this guy has. Judging by the ad it sounds like this person is very knowledgeable which has me less than optimistic about getting a good score...we'll see...report on Saturday. The it'll be off to a flea market at a school...those are cool because everyone is confined to the parking lot and you can get in and out quickly. Opposed to the neighborhood garage sales that take forever especially looking for classic games... Then I have to get to the gym. Then move everything out of the basement to begin demolition for the new game room. And then work on my Make Trax cabinet. And the $15 entertainment center I got from Salvation Army that I need to paint and add more shelves to house my classic console collection. And cut the grass. The weekend's done before it even started.
  15. Arcade Galaga 35 mins Ms. Pac-Man 20 mins ColecoVision Ms. Pac-Man 15 mins Pepper II 40 mins Omega Race 5 mins Pac-Man 10 mins Mr. Do! 25 mins Cosmic Avenger 5 mins 7800 Jr. Pac-Man 25 mins Mario Bros. 10 mins Centipede 5 mins 2600 Defender Arcade 10 mins Dodge 'Em 2 mins Lock N Chase 10 mins Dark Cavern 3 mins Laser Blast 2 mins Berzerk 10 mins Amidar 2 mins Galaxian Arcade 5 mins
  16. At least around here, flea markets are not a good deal. The folks that are selling games are trying to make money on the side whereas garage sales people just want to unload the stuff...
  17. I love the ColecoVision but it's ridiculous how short the cables are. Problem is that when you try to stretch them on my console when it's on it crashes the game. No surprise given the documented hardware probs with the system. I have one DB9 cable extension that works well but honestly I've never had probs with the Atari cable lengths because I set the consoles on the floor right in front of me (since you gotta set difficulty levels and swap games out).
  18. Holy crap - l00k what I just found on Craigslist! http://harrisburg.craigslist.org/gms/1282890379.html
  19. I'm in the same boat...I visit Salvation Army and Goodwill once a week, scout out any garage sales, check out CraigsList (although usually dry), eBay, the Chuck, the marketplace here at AA and atari2600.com for "Nekid Ladies and Wounded Warriors" (I don't give a crap what condition the labels are in - I just want the game). The wife isn't too thrilled with all the cardboard boxes sitting on the doorstep but for some reason I'm in a rush to complete the classic arcade port collections. But yeah, although you can get a bunch of carts for under $5, a little here and there adds up. I try to limit my purchases about a month before an expo cuz I know I'll come home with a crap load of carts. I believe the number was 22 carts and a Lynx with 4 games at the Too Many Games expo in May. Man that was a lot of fun. And so is collecting.
  20. Look - I want the Chuck to succeed. I think it's important to have an auction site dedicated to video games. Truth is, as a buyer the inventory just isn't there. For example, I just now checked the listings and one 7800 lot with 3 Ms-Pac carts and a Centipede. I'm working on completing my C64 cart collection and only two listed there. Like "chicken or the egg" is it lack of traffic or lack of inventory? I would believe that sellers would prefer eBay if buyers are getting carts for $.99 like I have. Do you run TV ads? I can tell you the first time I saw the TV commercial for half.com I immediately went to the site and put up all the CDs and books for sale that I didn't want.
  21. That's 5 hours a day! Cool - my favorite game. I hope others have played it - very addictive.
  22. I'm not into the vintage computer scene but nevertheless I enjoy seeing pix of the parties and setups as I throw classic gaming parties. Wow - this was a three day extravaganza? I have problems holding people's interest for four hours (of course they are not die hard classic games but play for the nostalgic purposes - after all, classic gamers are hard to come by in my area). Did you guys have any Warsteiner or Paulaner? Do they still make Darmstadter?
