Pole Position's graphics and recycled sound effects for oncoming cars is little to be desired. However, everything else is pretty good for a 2600 arcade port.

Which Atari 2600 cart totally blows you away? This is more geared towards what they were able to do graphically without the excessive flicker. My vote is for Stargate. I am simply amazed at what they were able to do with this cart. Last night I tested to see if I could get to outer space and they even included that after shooting all the humanoids. The sound effects are just about dead on. The game play is challenging as well. My second place vote goes to Medieval Mayhem. What the author was able to produce graphically is stunning along. Props also for the options menu.

I have a 5200 and I like it but not as much as the Colecovision. I had a retro gaming party the other night and one girl was playing Pac-Man and complaining that Pac-Man wasn't going where she wanted him to go. 'magine that! I got the gold contact kit and Pac-Man is a lot easier to play but not perfect that's for sure.

You like Colecovision, as evidenced by your name and endless discussions about it. That's cool. Doesn't mean everyone prefers it or that people are full of shit for liking 5200 better than Colecovision just because you personally don't. Quit expressing your opinions as though they are "facts" I don't understand - I do not see anything in CV Gus' post that you quoted that is derogatory to anyone preferring the 5200 over the Colecovision. In topics such as these, it should be elementary that it will be opinionated and members will attempt to back up their opinions with what they believe are the facts. I'm not being "board police" here - I just don't see where in CV Gus' post it would have provoked an aggressive response.

What type of ends do I need on 22 AWG wires to connect to the Hagstrom KE18? Hagstrom's MTA100-10-12 cable calls it "an optional accessory" so therefore there has to be other ways to connect.

Well, if you believe the Wiki on the topic it sounds pretty messed up. "Pennsylvania defines it as "A motor vehicle, but not a reproduction thereof, manufactured at least 15 years prior to the current year which has been maintained in or restored to a condition which is substantially in conformity with manufacturer specifications and appearance." Is that correct? I thought there were two classes - "classic" and "antique" with each being a different time range. At least in PA there are separate license plates for them.

It turns out that I had two bum carts - Subroc for Colecovision and Space Invaders for the 5200.

Here's a start for the resurrection of the classic arcade/home console. What would Microsoft do? Monopolize What did Bushnell do? Chuck E Cheese Just brainstorming...
