Joysticks, which ones do you like and why? My 2 Cents.

Edladdin Super Twin 78 has that beat. Not sure why the default button orientation is north-south though. I made sure that the buttons were east-west when I ordered mine. I used the Super Twin 78 to play 2600 games that require a second button like Stargate. -

General, all-purpose controllers (the Wico Command Control works great for Joust using the top fire button): For maze games: For Asteroids, Star Castle and Space Rocks (Rip Off and Space Duel on the 7800): Trackball Games: -
That's funny I thought everyone used "View New Content" to read the forums. I can't imagine visiting every subforum to check for new messages.

So what was game 600? -
I view new messages by going to "View New Content" "View New Content" filters on the forums I have selected. If a new forum is added, and there's no annoucement posted, I won't know about it and therefore not see the content. I would think that posting a thread in the Web site Announcements forum to let people know of new forums would be the solution.

I don't know if this article has already been linked, but it came across my Google alerts feed: In the age of the Xbox One X, Atari is going to struggle to compete with a new console https://inews.co.uk/essentials/news/technology/age-xbox-one-x-atari-going-struggle-compete-new-console/

VectorGamer's Gaming Stuff That Needs A New Home

The problem is that there is no announcement made of new sub-forums on AtariAge when they are added. I "VIEW NEW CONTENT" on AtariAge, exclusively, and if I don't know of a new sub-forum the threads won't show up in my list given that I'm filtering on only forums that I follow.

That's the problem with collecting for the Vectrex: the games and overlays are so damn expensive. That's why getting a VecMulti is the way to go.

VectorGamer Is Taking A Break From the ColecoVision Scene
VectorGamer replied to VectorGamer's topic in Arcade and Pinball
That's just me man. I've made friends with people in the hobby through arcade & pinball tournaments and gaming expos etc. that I didn't feel the need to hide behind an alias. With YouTube, we were trying to portray me as the irresponsible father that spends all his time and money on video games and neglects the basic needs of his kids and always gets in trouble with his wife. Unfortunately, there were some people who didn't get the joke and thought that was real life. -
There are no springs AT ALL in the CV DK translation. If memory serves the different skill levels affect your starting lives and the number of fireballs on the elevator and rivets screens. I don't recall if there are any changes to the barrels screen.

Really the only argument (that I can think of) for arcade ports in the day of MAME is that you can play (on some games) an easier skill level with an arcade port versus MAME.

I know you're trying to trim down to 25, but my $.02 and because I have time to kill on a slow work day... No way! I loved the arcade game and I used to play this all the time on the CV when it came out...when I was a kid I always loved the bear stage - it was hilarious It's one of the better home versions but I think the 7800 is the best. Frustrating until you get the hang of it. I still lose lives on the second screen and never really figured out a strategy on how not to die. But it's the best home version of Galaxian out there. It's a fun game definitely give it a try Requires the roller controller if memory serves CV version is probably the best home version of the game and IMHO is better than the arcade game. Once the game progresses to where the bad guys have to fall through 2 or 3 holes it gets too hard and I'm no longer interested. It's a cool game - you really need to try it with the roller controller. Problem is that when you get to later stages the game slows down and you start dying because the system stops responding. I wish someone would do a re-release of this and fix the slowdown problem. I had this cartridge for like 2 years before I even played it cuz I had no idea how to play. Then I figured it out and it's one of my favorite games. Much better than the arcade game. This is another game that sat in my collection collecting dust. I like having the continue feature (I wish the home versions of Scramble had this) because finishing the game is satisfying. I would keep Mouse Trap. Loved it when I was a kid and still do to this day. Another one where the home version is better than the arcade. The tunes in Frenzy are hilarious.

Atari Flashback Portable!
VectorGamer replied to Byron's Reviews's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
I got my Flashback Portable over the weekend. I loaded a bunch of ROMs onto SD card and I can say that as I'm kicking the tires on this thing I'm getting more disappointed with how many games don't work. Any reason why they put an almost arcade perfect Frogger on this device? Not complaining - it's just out of place. -
