Me too. The guy I bought it from had no idea about turning on the sounds. I watched Todd Tuckey's video on Kings of Steel and I was like "mine doesn't make those sounds!" I downloaded the manual and found out how to turn them on - makes a world of difference. With them turned off it sounds like an old EM. Incidentally, I don't like the LED colors they used for the back glass. I used all white LEDs except reds for the Ball In Play and High Score and blues for Game Over, Shoot Again and Tilt.

After all this talk about Coleco in recent weeks, I could've sworn that there was a thread dedicated to the expo itself and here it is. So I posted in jest to stir the pot a little. I've been an AtariAge member for just about 8-1/2 years now. It would be comical if the Coleco Expo fails miserably, but if an AA member decides to attend the "show" I really couldn't care either way. I wouldn't go as far as saying that said member should now be banned from AtariAge.

Has anyone else tested Star Trek? When I played it, it was playable but the scoring was messed up.

It's out there but I took all the videos down. I had extensive background checks for a new job and I didn't want those videos out there. Do you mean that when you hit the target it doesn't register? It happens on mine frequently. I see that the rectangle target seems to be the factory installed target. I played one at Pinfest where someone replaced it with a circular target and it looks much better.

I wouldn't be going to the show under any other circumstances. But if we get enough people to chip in $1 I'll drive out there and shoot video for the entertainment. I'm taking one for the team.

Agreed. I had to move out the table I was using for console/computer gaming recently to fit my new pinball machine into the arcade. I won't be able to play any of my console or computer games until my 15 year old moves out of the house. But I have options - I could kick him out and make him live with his grandparents tomorrow and I'll have a place to play. But now I'm looking at cramming a second pinball machine into the arcade. The real problem is "do I want to spend $6000 on a brand new Stern Pro pinball machine" and I thought about it for a long while and figured if I bought a $6000 pinball machine it would end up costing my $20000 because I would have to buy my wife a new car and we would have to travel to Europe cuz she would've said "you know we could've taken a European vacation for the amount you spent on that pinball machine." So what did I do? I spent $700 on a pinball machine instead and all is glorious in my household. I would hold onto your consoles, sell the games and buy a multicart for each system. That way you're gaming and not "collecting" or hoarding.

I'll volunteer to go to the Coleco Expo if we raise $200 to send me there. I'll do a video walk through and perhaps shoot video of whatever else - I'll take requests. The show is 300 miles round trip. Using the IRS gas mileage I'll settle on $0.50 per mile. Plus $20 for the ticket to the show. Plus extra to cover GoFundMe fees. You have a power adapter that's going to die soon. Get a new one in working condition before you start having other problems. This is one of the problems I was having with the power adapter that came with my unit.

I swapped the 512-MB SD card from the AtariMax to use with my Atari Flashback Portable that I got. Will a 16-GB SD card work with the AtariMax? I copied all the files over to the card but I won't be able to test it myself for a while.

Hear ye, hear ye! Are you sitting down? Brace yourself. VectorGamer hates to break it to all his fans and devoted followers, but VectorGamer will be putting all Colecovision gaming on hold starting last January. Besides I just put a pinball machine in the arcade and now I have no room to do any console or computer gaming. Maybe when my son moves out of the house I can re-purpose some space for retro gaming.
