  1. Will there be an option to just purchase the ROM in this day of the LTO Flash?
  2. So looking at the screenshot - does the game scroll in four directions?

  4. I just downloaded Pinball Arcade for the 360 last month. Apparently there's a known bug where your tables are missing and you have to go re-download one of your packs to get all your tables back. Sorry if this has already been discussed but this is a 45 page thread I've been told that they are way behind on releasing new tables for the 360. Anyone aware of how many tables have yet to be released for the 360?
  5. Bump for Intellivision auctions ending Saturday! See post #1
  6. QuarterArcade.com sells working PCBs. You can scour eBay for working boards as well. If you have a dead boardset, you can see if you can get it repaired by El Dorado Games. Another option is posting over at the forums on KLOV.com. I bought a Congorilla that had a broken monitor and a DK Japanese board set. After I had the monitor repaired by ArcadeCup.com, I couldn't get the DK board to work properly. So I put the board set up on eBay and installed a 412-in-1 in the cabinet instead without desecrating the control panel. If I ever wind up selling the cabinet, a collector can easily convert it back to Congorilla.

Centipede is done best on the TI-99/4A. Trackball or joystick, doesn't matter!

  16. I didn't attack the guy. You didn't quote me but I'm just stating for the record. That's the thing: they sure know what community to target to sell the game but they won't use the AA community to get feedback before they release the final product. The video is pretty descriptive of what your getting with this game: monotony. If a gamer likes monotony they will love this game. But it's not for me. The game is worth whatever Albert is currently offering in store credit to recycle black/text label carts. Here's their controller: and the Edladdin controller: The Edladdin looks sleeker and less bulky IMHO.
  17. How about NES, TI-99/4A and C64...DK XM for the 7800 and D2K Arcade for the INTV
  18. I use Windows XP with the powertoys software so I can autologon and do other things like hiding desktop icons. From there I have a bat file in startup that calls the MAME frontend and then executes the shutdown command once the MAME frontend closes (I have a button wired up inside the coin door that shuts down the front end). No need for a keyboard. Make sure your computer automagically turns on when power is applied. I use Kymaera as a MAME front end because it was the one that could get me up and running quickly. You can dress it up all you want with kewl graphics and the like but I don't have time for that I just have a text listing for games. But nobody ever takes my advice on using Kymaera. I use keyboard encoders from Hagstrom Electronics. I buy 19" LCD monitors from Suzo-Happ. I'm pretty sure you can get all your buttons, joysticks and spinners from there too. I've bought controller parts from Mike's Arcade as well. It sounds like your control panel is going to be the size of a coffee table. So with that in mind, please don't kill an arcade cab and build yours from scratch.
