I bought a ColecoVision from Mumbai recently, and when the power supply had a short in it on arrival, he sent me a replacement free of charge. Throughout the transaction he was very kind and helpful. Definitely an A+ seller.

Season 5 Week 1 - Super Mario Bros. (1985)
Arjak replied to CGQuarterly's topic in NES High Score Club
Okay, okay, let's try to calm down and think this through. Starcry realized what he did. He (I assume) didn't do it again. He even asked Jibbajaba to remove his previous score in exchange for a legit one. Everyone makes mistakes, let's assume this is one. Jibbajaba, I realize we need a system to prevent purposeful cheating, but let's forgive Starcry this one time, seeing as he has realized he made a mistake, and even made up for it by submitting a different score. If I got banned from something for the tiniest mistake, I'd be pissed too. I'm sure you would be as well, Jibbajaba. Give him a chance, OK? -
I'm interested in buying some games by OpCode, but I'm hesitant because I've heard that some of them will be remade to use the Super Expansion Module, and I want to wait on those so that I can get the SEM version. Which games will be remade, if any? Which will not? I want to know so that I don't buy one only to learn it's being remade...

Wow! That video sure is impressive! I wonder if a deal could be made to get it on cartridges... Does anyone speak Spanish?

Wow, and I thought I was the only person in the world who liked the Bubsy games! Well, the first two, anyway.

I voted for Galaga. I never really enjoyed Defender much. I always thought it had WAY too steep a learning curve, not to mention way more buttons than necessary. I can play Galaga for hours (I know because I have!).

New score before I retire for the evening: 576,600 I feel quite ashamed. I can't remember the second path combo in 7-4. I was doing great until then! -

I just received a SuperCharger that I won off ebay, and since I feel weird about using the tapes (I think I'm afraid of breaking them), not to mention I don't think I have a good tape player, I was wondering how you go about putting the game ROM data on a CD or iPod. Will anyone help me?

Gulkave looks awesome. I'll definitely buy a copy when it comes out if I can get my hands on a ColecoVision by then! -
Well, I'm sold! I will definitely buy one of these when it comes out! Hopefully, I'll have a ColecoVision by then to use it with!

I've been trying to get my hands on a ColecoVision lately. I've played a few games on an emulator and I think it looks awesome!
-
LMFAO! That is brilliant! Does anyone know who made this?
-
Sorry to necro-post, but have you considered working on this again? I think it's an outstanding idea and I would hate to see it die like this...
-
I voted for a Lord of the Dungeon Reproduction. Since I don't care much for driving games, and I'm fine with playing a standard ColecoVision, I think a new game is best.

As the topic says, I'm looking for a ColecoVision. I want it to be in good working and cosmetic condition. Can anyone give me a good price? If you are interested, please reply to this thread or send me a PM with pictures of your system and your price. Thank you!

Sorry about the double post, but I just realized: AtariAge should have a commercial archive! That way, these classic pieces of advertising will not be lost and forgotten.

Dang; Great minds think alike! Not long ago, I had an idea for a commercial for Seawolf! That would indeed be a fun project!

I love the original series! Never played the spinoffs, though. I do know you can buy the originals here though! The originals are somewhat old fashioned, archaic, and even frustrating, but I love 'em!

I've never understood the crap games get. Any sane person should be able to understand that it's fake, and not something you would want to do in real life. And as far as all the parents go who freak out about these things, there's a very simple solution: DON'T LET YOUR KID GET THE GAME. People, especially Americans for some reason, always seem to freak out about new forms of expression: Rock and Roll, Violent Movies, and now Video Games. People who have to stick their hands in everything for "the common good" don't seem to realize that video games are not just for kids anymore; they've grown into their own form of expression, just like any form of media. I remember everyone freaking out about the implied sex in Mass Effect. People just didn't get it that it was there for the story, and not for gratuitousness' sake. I haven't played the game, but to my knowledge, it was an optional scene that you could only get to by having your character carefully develop a relationship with another character. Games are a form of expression and entertainment on the level of any other more established form of media. People who refuse to understand that need to get over themselves and their quest to save the human race. Seriously, in a perfect world, no one would have any fun.
