  1. Back story: I posted a long time ago about buying broken consoles, so I could display them http://atariage.com/forums/topic/178532-wtb-broken-consoles/ there were some very generous members who helped. Having them around made me try my hand at making some retro t-shirts but most designs I came up with were a bust. I remembered I had seen an iPhone done up as an exploded design on a shirt, looked around, didn't see any consoles done up the way I wanted so I set out to scrape together the funds and get a line of shirts done. Plus all the consoles I have for display are broken so no worries about sacraficing a working system to crack open and digging into its guts. My ideal goal is doing as many consoles as possible that way it's one line, all done in the same style. So far I've been able to get three done and printed, I've included the 2600 picture here but have also printed up an Arcade cabinet and NES all done in the same style. The website is http://pixelarmor.com/ and the shirts at $19.99 with $5 shipping in the US, $12 for international. I hope I'm not breaking any rules and this is post is ok, I noticed Analogue Interactive has a post about their custom wood CMVS Neo Geo pointing to their site so I think I should be ok, if not mod's please feel free to delete this thread. Even if you don't buy anything any feedback would be greatly appreciated, I wore the initial test 2600 one I had printed to PAX and MegaCon and did get a few people asking where I got it from.

  3. Getting married, was thinking of putting Atari 2600 boxes as the table markers, but dang it's hard to find just a lot of them lying around. Wondering if anyone here has any suggestions? At this point I am considering finding some box scans, re-printing them and folding them over something. Just afraid it'll look too cheezy. (well not the kind of cheeze I'm hoping for at any rate)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I would say just do what you said, print some boxes on heavy paper, if I remember it is either 80 lb or 100 lb laser paper, it's the heaviest right before you get to actual card stock paper and not glossy photo either. Find someone or a Kinko's / FedEx Office with a Xerox Phaser. The paper is lightly stiffer than regular paper, it will hold up well to folding and standing but doesn't crack when you fold it like card stock does. The Xerox Phaser uses a type of wax to print with, it gives the print a nice shine. I used to use this combo for all my DVD covers when I worked at Kinko's long ago, they end up looking better than most real covers when you put them in a DVD sleeve. And since you are talking table markers, they wouldn't need to be very high res at all, I would just use google image search and set it to large. Hope that helps, and good luck!

  4. I got a dead snes JR if you need that

I do appreciate the offer and I may PM you later, but right now I'm going to hold off on the alternate versions. I need to see how much room this is going to take with the original consoles and with an occasional Japan variant.

  5. I have 4 black saturns and 1 japan gray one. 10 virtual boys without stands. 5 gamecubes 6 psones 2 regular ps1s a model 1 sega cd a model 2 sega cd a 32x model 2 genesis atari 2600 4 dreamcasts 2 game gears 1 original gameboy 1 gameboy pocket 15 original xboxes 3 ps3s without blu ray drives and about 20 360s without dvd drives. Im sort of a hoarder when it comes to this stuff lol. If youre interested in any of the systems i could pick you out ones in good shape

    WOW! PM Sent

  6. Huh, locally I can get most busted systems for $10 each. I can give you a mostly-working (CCFL's dead) PSone LCD for the cost of shipping.

Thanks for the reply Rex Dart, I wish I could find stuff for $10. Unfortunately I can't seem to find that here in West Palm Beach, FL. Everywhere I look it's all XBOX and up for prices above ebay, or if it is something older it looks like someone took a hammer to it.

  7. I'm looking for some broken consoles for a project I'm doing for display purposes. I already have a Pong machine, 2600, NES, SNES, Genesis Model 1 & Dreamcast they don't need to work but I would like them to at least look ok, not smashed with a hammer. I've been seeing crazy prices on eBay like $40 for a busted saturn, $60 for an untested Jaguar and was wondering if these are really worth that much broken. I'm interested in any consoles not listed but would be most interested in Jaguar, NeoGeo, Atari 5200 & 7800, Sega Master System & Sega 32x.

    Thanks for looking.

Thanks to everyone who has helped out! Edited my list as I was able to get a few things out of the way.
