  1. I can't seem to get any Odyssey 2 emulator to work.  Is there a good one for those with little patience?

@littaum Nope.  If you have experience with that one, I may need a tutorial of some sort.  If I get an emulator I prefer to just be able to click on the exe and get started easy peasy.  It's a bit too antiquated for my liking; If you are familiar with it and can give me some pointers I would sure appreciate it!

Probably need to find the BIOS.bin and the GROM.bin or else it can't run, often time doesn't come with the emulator.

@Kiwi I got the bios.  The default path was weird, so I went into settings and got it straightened out.  Now it works; I just can't find the default fire button.

  2. Not a good showing by the Bills, but at least they weren't the Packers..

I watched little bits of the Packers game, it was brutal.  Only one game in, but not the way we want to begin after a tumultuous off-season.

  3. I can't get used to Door Dash/Ubereats.  My renter orders it all the time and I get antsy over people/cars near my house..

Guess it depends where you live. When ordering take-out we use it and never had any problems. Usually just people wanting some sort of work when times are tough. Also usually they're really nice as they want good reviews

My wife uses those services too.  I prefer to go and pick it up 5 minutes down the street for free.  Hey wife, if you're reading this, "for free".

As a delivery driver (for a Philly Cheese Steak restaurant) I do see an upside.  We deliver for $2!  Now some people don't tip (*&#*^#$!) but some people tip $10 because they are getting used to those Doordash prices,  which sure helps balance out the cheapskates (heh)...Now if I could just get the Friggin price of gas to go back down...

  4. Great food at T-Mobile Park last time.  This time.. yuck, redeemed somewhat by Uncle Charley's Cheesesteaks.

I think they still are, but no, I did not.

  5. Even though I don't have BUZZR (or cable, period) I am psyched that they're getting the cult classic WHEW in their lineup!

  6. Been watching those "wasp/yellow jacket/hornet" nest removal videos.  Hard not to be a little squeamish.

We've had a beekeeper that lived next door to us that had strays come over to our yard.  We've had hornet nests in the greenhouse, and yellow jacket nests within rockeries and shrubs and even under floorboards in our house.  I've been fortunate to not get stung terribly often in my lifetime.  If a queen got away from the neighbor the sky in our backyard would be FILLED with bees.  Fortunately honeybees, but still..  😨

I got stung last week by a yellow jacket (I think) while I mowed my dad's lawn.  Stupid F-er got me right in the shin!  I looked down and saw it hanging on my leg so I flicked it away quickly before I could even see what it was.  It really burned and hurt instantly like I was stabbed (Hard!).  I do wish I'd gotten a better look though, to see what it was first.

Those bastards are irritating.  Hornets are so much worse though.  We'd get all kinds of bees when apples fell off the trees.  Us kids were afraid to go barefoot in the summer.

Same here Russ. Always puts a smile on my face. 8^)

  10. Uploading a whole bunch of restaurant review videos on YT.  My brother and I make a weird duo.  It's debatable which is saltier-- the food or the language!

  11. Love the VH song Beautiful Girls.  Partially because I can't think of another song with background harmony to the words "Special plans!".

  12. I gotta admit, I still laugh at the old "Nintendon't" commercials where Michael Jackson mouths "DOES!" to a very low octave.

  13. I hadn't watched Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight in forever.  Forgot how damn funny Billy Zane was in it!

  14. Looking up old toys and candy from the 70s I used to love/own.  Not getting sad over bygone eras, just happy, fuzzy nostalgic feelings.

@retrorussell Thanks Brother!  Right back at ya!  It's been good.  Today's been a good one...Day Off! Lots of fun.  Some of it legal.  I had a couple friends come up from Denver and an Ex GF and her son also stopped by for a quick spin in his new (well 2013 but new to him) Subaru WRX STI which is Fast as hell... We've watched some shows, ate Mexican food, listened to tunes, drank beer, philosophized on life in my dark but colorfully ambient lit sunporch,  took in some fireworks with people from the neighborhood up on a catwalk across the nearby interstate...And tomorrow we may even do up some video games...

      Life is good!

@GoldLeader Sounds like lots of fun!  Just got over a bad stomach flu over the last couple days.. took all last week off and got my deck stained and my dad will put up some new fence supports later this week, and I will hopefully get a new, working ceiling fan in the dining room.  It's good to get things done around the house.

  15. The animated Harley Quinn series has its ups and downs, but some parts definitely leave me in stitches.  "Ooo yikes!  Your legs are hella jacked up!"-- Batgirl

    Bane is also really funny.

  16. I only now got around to seeing a birthday message (my b-day was Thursday) my brother sent me: A Happy Birthday video directly from none other than former Buffalo Bill receiver Don Beebe!  Nice guy!

How does one look at older Status Updates not currently on the Status Update screen?  Didn't we used to have an option to look at older ones below?

    3. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

Yeah it used to say More Status Updates or something.  Now you can go to MY ACTIVITY STREAMS (Top Row) Then CREATE NEW STREAM (Bottom choice) then under CONTENT TYPES select Status Updates (1st choice).  Label it.  For example, mine's just called STATUS UPDATES on the top line marked "Stream Title".  Then Save Changes.   It'll appear under CUSTOM STREAMS so it's always there.  :)

  17. I hate when my dog kicks the floor as she scratches her self, and I think someone's knocking at the door.

  18. Wow, a shooting across the street from me.  I was at work at the time.  Robbery apparently.  He didn't put the gun down when the cop ordered him to and he got shot.  Funny how that happens.  No life threatening wounds but a terminal case of stupid.

I used to work (to the bone and then some) pulling orders for a beverage warehouse.  Lots of orders with San Pellegrino and for some reason La Isla Bonita would pop into my head.

  25. I'm not a *complete* pussy when it comes to hot sauce/salsa, but I sometimes underestimate medium sauces/salsas from the store.

    1. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

A while ago I  bought some Shishito peppers which, they claim, are mild, but 1 in 10 may be hot.  I don't think I ever found a hot one, though haha!   Jalapenos are a weird one to me, because I've had some very mild ones and also found some that burn and burn,  and really stick with you.   I think the peppers (and their capsaicin levels) vary depending on the climate/amount of sunlight, etc. where they're grown...Probably can affect salsas, too!

    2. x=usr(1536)

      x=usr(1536)

We had jalapeños and habaneros growing next to each other in the garden a couple of years ago.  They ended up cross-breeding (don't ask me how this happens; I know next to nothing about the sex life of plants) and creating a really interesting set of peppers.  You'd either end up with unusually-potent jalapeños with a touch of habanero flavour to them, or habaneros that were on the milder side but with a light jalapeño flavouring over the habanero.

Sadly, they didn't survive the winter.  But they were really good while they lasted.

    3. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

@x=usr(1536) So you know a little bit about the sex life of plants?

      Haaa!

Those sound really good actually!   I wonder if they've ever sold such a breed?  A while back I bought a bell pepper at the grocery store that was half red and half yellow pepper (but not orange, it had both colors)...I put it on a pizza,   there's pics in the What are you eating tonight? thread...
