It seems to be much faster to put free stuff on my curb and wait for people to take it than to post it on Craigslist and wait for people to respond and show up to take it.

  By putting free couches on Craigslist all I got were people calling and saying they wanted them, but flaking out on me. I ended up shrink wrapping them in case of rain, and just leaving them on the curb with a "FREE" sign. Gone in a half hour.
