AAAARGH!!!! NARC will not record in MAME, and I've used 2 other recording programs and they don't work either. Anyone able to record a video file of it?

  A different rendering method determines how and where the final image is created prior to dumping to the monitor.
  
  in mame.ini there is WINDOWS VIDEO OPTIONS section and gdi, ddraw, or d3d are the options.
  
  Or -video <gdi|ddraw|d3d> from the command line.

  Failing that. You can try this method which worked for me.
  
  You basically play the game, and record the inputs. Like a mouse/keylogger would.
  
  Then replay them with mame's record feature turned on.
