  1. Good choice! I got Phoenix as my first. Then Dig Dug, then Neo Geo 4 slot. I have a plan to get Galaga someday in cocktail form, so I can switch out the pcb with other Namco games like Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Super Pac-Man, Gaplus, Bosconian, etc. If I can find a way to get it in my attic I could still have room for a Crazy Climber in the dining room corner. Sweet!
  2. 20,850. Sorry, I can only include my YouTube vid for right now. I'll work on getting Real Player back to being able to download the video, then take a picture of where the hi score shows. I threw away the original video file. The hi score shows at about 5 minutes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIiW9jB04Ig&feature=plcp&context=C4704386VDvjVQa1PpcFMPn2ivhc1c2O5YnpBuu78IxpJP2fXAf74=
  3. I also like Taizo Hori (Dig Dug). And his ex-wife, Toby "Kissy" Masuyo from the game BARADUKE.
  4. Happy St. Patty's everyone!

  5. I think I first saw it at a pizza place called "Pietro's" that was near highway 217 in Beaverton. I think they also had "Jump Bug".
  6. NEXT GAME: MAG/MAX, 1985 Nichibutsu Probably one of their best games not named Crazy Climber. You are a spaceship flying above and below ground, shooting enemies and trying to add pieces to become a giant robot. Being below ground is a LOT more fun, seeing as how your firepower is a lot more wide-spread. As a giant robot, you won't die but parts will be destroyed until you're back down to your ship, which will explode with one hit. Pretty fun, but endless, with one boss showing up, and you just keep going right after you kill him.
  7. Starflight, 1991 Sega Genesis OUTSTANDING space strategy game where you communicate with other aliens, hire crew, train assignments, study planets, colonize, etc. Lots of fun and a good sense of humor. Shortly after I bought it I kept hearing "Orbit established" in my sleep.
  8. Good Blazer trades. Okur and another first and second round pick; everything else doesn't matter.

You tell that to the Laker team, Fisher will be truly missed. :(

Yeah, he was a staple of that franchise for so many years.

  9. Go Blazers! Tank the season and move up in the lottery!

      I suspect that's exactly what they're doing.

It appears they've acquired Mehmet Okur & Shawne Williams & NJ's 1st rd pick for Wallace.

Also possibly Camby to Hou for Thabeet, Flynn and a 2nd rounder.

  10. John Madden Football (1990, Genesis) Great introduction to the series, though it didn't have every team (kinda like Tecmo Bowl). It had a new viewpoint for throwing to receivers that I REALLY loved; the 3 windows showing 3 receivers and how open they were. I couldn't get used to any other kind of football game controls after this. And it had a cool song with rap-like football terminology thrown in. T-t-t-t-t-t-touchdown! Touchdown!
  11. I once long ago had a dream there was a Pac-Man game that took place in outer space, perhaps on the moon. Pac-Man had a jet pack on and was flying high above the surface. I don't remember ghosts or dots figuring into the game. Just him floating in air, and Ms. Pac-Man on the ground watching him. I was playing this and I let Pac-Man crash on the ground in a mushy heap, and Ms. Pac-Man bawled her eyes out at the sight of her (very) dead husband. Yuck!
  12. Trying my hand at home-made deep dish pizza pie. Wish me luck..

Aw.. the bottom crust didn't firm up like I hoped, so it's more like lasagna.. but wow, what a great lasagna!!!

  13. A tiny buger joint with limited seating space doesn't seem like the kind of place that should have an arcade game, but a Tastee Freeze close to where I used to live in Portland/Tigard OR had a cabaret Pac-Man. It's now a Hookah Lounge. I used to call it "Sushi Freeze" because most of the Tastee Freezes turned into a Japanese restaurant, including that one before it became the hookah lounge.
  14. If you have time to go to the Oregon coast Funland in Seaside is still pretty good. Gets pretty crowded and HOT in there due to the big pizza oven, assuming it's still there (haven't been there in a while). Good mix of old and newer games.
  15. My reason for putting Claire Redfield atop my list:
  16. Gonna be late to work today. Doesn't really matter. The boss won't see me till at least 3:30PM anyway.

  17. Laughing at the Blazers. Actually, pissing away the season would be a good thing. Spend a high draft pick on a PG.

Yeah, they are a joke this year. I can't stand Felton, he is the worst PG the Blazers have ever started.

I've seen very little NBA this season. Has Felton really been that bad? I thought he played well when he was with the Knicks.

Felton is having a career-worst year with Portland. You can just tell he doesn't give a crap. Numerous Blazers has fallen off statistically, especially since the All-Star break.

  18. There's many I could name but for now I'll go with Claire Redfield, just for her looks (and awesome butt).
  19. Come on, hot tub.. heat up! Jeez, something always seems to go wrong lately.

  21. I am entertaining thoughts of putting one up in my attic.. a cocktail and maybe find a way to shorten the legs, because there's not much room in the attic (just a small space over the garage). It's tough to stand all the way up so they'd have to be really short. It'd be worth it though. First, I have to get some plywood and mattress foam on there to have something to sit/stand on (there's just cross boards right now) to cover up the nails that are sticking up through the floor (yeouch!). Maybe Bosconian so I can switch the pcb out with other Namco goodies (Ms.Pac, Pac-Man, Galaga).
  22. Hey folks. Kind of a rant and post at once. I went to Game Trader and picked up a Resident Evil Director's Cut Dual Shock for PS1. Hadn't played it since the 90s. Got to enjoy the cheesy dialogue all over again. Anyway, I play through to the dining room (What is it? Look out.. it's a MONSTER! XD) and after I leave and get the lockpick from Barry (because I'm the master of lockpicking) I go back to the hallway where I first met the zombie. I go the other way and open the second to last door... and the game FREEZES. Damn it! Well, I reset the game. I get back there and again, the game freezes in exactly the same spot. This happens right after I leave the "Jill Sandwich" room, too. There are just certain spots the game will freeze at. Damn it, I was so looking forward to this. Now I have to return it. Crap! What are your "won't work" stories?
