    EXERION I think I first saw at an Aladdin's Castle in Vancouver, WA. I played it a bit and enjoyed it, but most of my tokens went to ELEVATOR ACTION. Exerion is definitely one of Jaleco's more memorable titles (their NES classic Bases Loaded is my favorite). ELEVATOR ACTION (1983 Taito) I was crazy for this game when it came out. I think I might have first seen this at Hydrotubes water slide arcade room, in Tigard OR, when it was brand new. I still really enjoy it. The jump attack is SUPER useful for enemies close to the elevator shaft as you near their floor, since they get very trigger-happy on the later levels.

    Exerion is definitely cool for 1983. I enjoy the dynamic of choosing between rapid fire or double shot for specific enemies. I just wish that it didn't take forever for you to get to the bonus round.

    New one: ZARZON/SATAN OF SATURN (!), 1981 SNK/Taito Really awful fixed-screen shooter, known as ZARZON in the US and originally called SATAN OF SATURN in its native Japan. Neither Zarzon nor Satan Of Saturn are really any good. Take out waves of UFOs, then diagonally descending ships, then a comet, and then you fly to Saturn to destroy bug-like enemies and then 3 dragonflies. Sounds perhaps kind of cool but it really is poorly made and unmemorable. I saw ZARZON at a drive-in theater snack lobby, I believe, in Vancouver WA back in 1987 when I went to see CREEPSHOW 2 with my mom.

    I always liked the Coleco Gemini controller. A fairly slim joystick and a paddle on top with button on the side. Worked just great for me.

      I had that on some K-Tel novelty/silly song compilation album, I think it was on GOOFY GREATS.  Ahab The Arab, Gitarzan, Beep Beep, Mr. Custer and others were on it.

      Some of my favorites that were also on that album were SNOOPY VS. THE RED BARON, YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY and SIMON SAYS.  I got that album for my 4th or 5th birthday.

      Awesome!  It's always nice to figure out one that's been rumbling around in your head...I'm going to guess I've heard this one time (partially, perhaps)...Coming out of a speaker painted white to match a ceiling, in the background at a dentist's waiting room, err wait...Optical.

    I enjoyed it for what it was. I felt it was more a 'weird' deviation from the original than a 'bad' deviation. Once I got used to its quirks I enjoyed it well enough. It wasn't a great game but I didn't think it was terrible. I remember it being one of the games my folks got for me for doing all schoolwork in time for a month and getting good grades. I kind of liked the "blue ghosts" music and the "buck-wha" sound of eating one.

    Cosmetic surgery tomorrow.. out of work 3 weeks.  I will be an ugly SOB for a while (black eyes) but it will be worth it in the long run.  Plus; no work!

      ^ Removal of eye bags/puffiness around the eyes.  I hate the look of it and it's gotten worse within the last 5 years or so.

      Ah fair enough, I have had that exact issue my whole life, dark circles, "bags" etc, it is literally from my mother's side, I cannot be bothered to do anything cosmetically as I am married 15 years + and I am 51 so as long as my wife loves me screw everyone else (here is a rough quick image to show I am not just lying, sometimes it can look better than this image and sometimes worse) but you have your reasons and best of luck, you do what makes you feel best. Hell 20+ years ago if I was in the financial position I might have considered it, lord knows I had enough of people saying "You look tired, get enough sleep last night?" in my life 😜

      ^ I completely hear you.  It had just gotten worse within the last 5 years or so and I had saved up enough, so I took the plunge.  I look even worse today than I thought I would.  The eyes are black, crusty and swollen and have tape all over them.  Hideous!  But they're not getting teary as bad as before.  Just gotta take pain meds here and there.  The tape comes out Sunday.  Gonna be another week and a half or so before it looks presentable.  Right now, I will completely avoid going out or looking in mirrors.
