I have World Heroes, World Heroes Perfect, Bust-A-Move, Fatal Fury Special, Real Bout Fatal Fury Special, Neo Bomberman, Waku Waku 7, Samurai Shodown II, SNK vs. Capcom, Metal Slug X, King Of Fighters 2003, and Art Of Fighting 2. The ones I want really bad are Super Dodge Ball and Viewpoint; those are the ones that'll cost me an arm and a leg on Ebay. Forget it!

Not games specifically, but..

Cool.. but I think the best thing about your gameroom is the carpet! Nice spacey look to it! -
What games do you have? I have a 4-slot with about 12 games. The ones I want most right now are WAY too expensive due to their rarity factor.

Can you show some pics? I'd like to see them. -

Uh.. cheapo scotch tape. You can see a couple coming off. ~ I basically wanted to get the more popular/influential ones over the years. I felt bad about missing out on some good ones (Satan's Hollow, Tank, Domino Man, etc.) but overall I think I had a pretty good selection. Thanks for the props all! -
I have a pic of the marquee scans I have on my wall. A hell of a lot cheaper than the real thing. 195 in all; I just thought since my wall was bare and it could use a little sprucing up, it might be a neat idea. What were the hardest arcade coin-op games?
retrorussell replied to ericwierson's topic in Arcade and Pinball
Not sure I played this one, but I remember the first was tough and I never got very far. Which one was the harder of the two? Super Bagman allowed you to bring the wheelbarrow down to a lower level (on the last screen). That alone made Super Bagman a little easier than the first game. -
I was lucky to have gone to quite a few in my youth. I've racked my brains to think of some more that I haven't mentioned before on this thread: In the Portland Metro area: The mini-arcade at Rico's Red Lion Pizza (now Round Table) on Capitol and Barbur The nickel arcade (can't remember its name, something like Fun Palace) by Dunkin' Donuts in Raleigh Hills A nickel arcade off of Sandy Blvd. WAY out in NE Portland, that had a LOT of weird/obscure machines The Organ Grinder Pizza out in SE Portland had GREAT pizza and a GREAT arcade also: Space Gang Pizza in Vancouver The Gold Mine at the Sea/Tac Mall

I rather liked FMV. I actually dreamed once (literally) about playing FMV-type games on a home video system. And then Sega CD came out! One of the first games I bought was Road Avenger. It is still probably my favorite Sega CD game. Killer theme!

Nice! Omega Race, too!

The Neo Geo has some great shooters; Pulstar, Last Resort, Blazing Star, Viewpoint, etc.

That would be a post for a handheld thread. There were the games on sale at chasethechuckwagon.com but that ended a long time ago. Check ebay.

Updates in the arcade industry involving classic games generally work out quite well, unlike the movie industry involving updating classic films. I really think a Scramble update could work out. Shot upgrades, more levels, boss fights, animated cutscenes, etc. would make it more enjoyable. I love the original too, but there can always be ways to successfully upgrade it. -
My favorite 2-player game of all time is Kings Of The Beach for the NES. The NHL series for the Sega Genesis, where one-timing was first available, is pretty killer for 2-player gaming as well. Slow-mo'ing those replayed one-timer goals is so sweet. Double Dragon II was nice as well.. and on games where you could accidentally hit your partner, I'd try to draw the enemy to one half of the screen while the other player would take the other (like the top half, the other take the bottom half).

Old arcade games that would be cool on atari machines
retrorussell replied to lucifershalo's topic in Atari 2600
These have already been done for the 2600... Except for Space Duel I just recently found out about B&J and Millipede. Cool! Monster Bash is another one that I'd like to see. Actually, if someone could hack the arcade one and put in Jason and Freddy, and maybe Pinhead or Michael Meyers that would be REALLY cool! -

61,460 Sorry, I don't know how to insert images saved on my cpu. -
Oh, and Ron Artest is now with the Lakers. If we don't beat this team something is terribly wrong with us.
-
Another foot injury; he's done for the season as far as we know. This guy is a walking health disaster.
-
Dude, are you forgetting the Rockets are going to be without Yao Ming?? We should beat them without too much trouble. I'm a bit bummed that Batum will be out a good portion of the season, but hopefully Webster can finally shed his bust status as the starting SF this season. I can't wait either.. Oden seems to be showcasing some of his promise in the preseason which will hopefully carry into the regular season. I'll watch what I can of the game at work. I can almost see the Rose Garden from work; I work at the Veteran's Hospital. Peace, and go Blazers! Retrorussell aka Crazyclimber80 http://www.youtube.com/user/crazyclimber80

Yie-Ar Kung Fu. Robotron. Scramble. Food Fight. Elevator Action. Space Duel. Do Run Run. Capcom Bowling. Bump And Jump. Millipede. -
Didn't buy a new machine but I bought a new MVS game for my Neo Geo cabinet: World Heroes Perfect.
-
Thanks for those facts so Atari obviously noticed how cool Robotron 2084 was took a look at Gravitar(which wasn't bad) but maybe wasnt performing and came up with Black Widow.I love both games. No problem. I got my info from my MAME32 program history tab. It shows the month and year of most games. It said Robotron March of 1982 and Black Widow December of 1982. Thinking back to when I first saw those games it seems about right to me.
