  1. I'm not usually too bad with wayward screws (I usually put them in a dish or a cup when I'm done taking them out) but cords are usually what's in my way. I need to vacuum more often in those areas because I'm pretty bad with food crumbs.
  2. You said it! I first heard of it, and some other craptastic Japanese games from the Playstation Namco Museum series. Dragon Buster, Tower Of Druaga, Grobda, etc. They all sucked hard. And those wacky Japanese also like their porn anime-style Mahjong games.. o__O not to mention tentacle-rape hentai.. (double o__O)
  3. Good idea! A lot of them would be from Japan.. lol
  4. Yeah, I never really understood the appeal of the game either. It was too hard and if you didn't get certain items early on you were totally screwed later in the game. And there was no clue within the game on how to make the treasures appear. A mind-numbing 60 levels of this b.s. What a waste of time. Go mow the lawn or something instead.
  5. I didn't think NG was TOO bad.. but I played it recently and can't remember how I got past the stupid pit on the 3rd or 4th level, that had the rotating wheel..
  6. I used to like Make Trax; I bet that would be a cinch to make on Atari 2600. I'd like to see Spectar on Atari 2600, and Bagman on the Intellivision. I've also dreamed of a sequel to Snafu on the Inty, where you could surround power up icons that would let you speed up, or shoot at other players, etc. A graphically superior and more arcade-faithful Tutankamn for the 2600 would be nice.
  7. It's a glitch.. from what I've read there are only 20 levels in HERO.
  8. As long as you have a pretty good grasp of what the game looked like on the platform you owned when you played it in the past, and you feel confident your emu replicates it pretty close to perfectly, then I say go for it. I do that with MAME for my rare game vids, and I can remember pretty well if there's any color or sound differences. If there are then I won't make a video of it. Or usually the MAME program will tell you if something isn't replicated properly.
  9. Pitfall II was my fave. Followed closely by Keystone Kapers, HERO, Megamania, Adventure, Asteroids, Space Invaders, River Raid and Tennis.
  10. http://www.youtube.com/user/crazyclimber80 Got some rare arcade vids I captured from Mame, and some NES tips/cheats I captured from my NES emulator, FCEUX.
  11. I never thought Crazy Climber was SUPER hard.. I normally get to the 3rd building. But even veteran CC players hate those stupid girders/dumbbells. Once you understand the controller scheme, you can move up the building pretty quickly. The dumb bells are are a major reason I can't get past the 2nd building very often. I can blow thru the first building, but I usually lose at least 3 guys on the 2nd. Any tricks on how to defeat the dumb bells? I have searched online and there is nothing of value at all. The tricks they say do not work AT ALL! I want to eventually go for the T.G. record, but I need some help. Been a good while since I played.. but all I can say is make sure you have plenty room to move when the dumbbells/girders start falling.. they tend to bounce for some inexplicable reason and move left or right instead of falling straight down. So be prepared to move, or not move! Also, unlike the other dangers, if you fall, when you return they will still come down at you. So you really need to get out of there as fast as you can! Other than that, I can't really help you too much.. however, check this website out and shoot the webmaster an e-mail.. he might be able to give you some pointers! http://www.basementarcade.com/arcade/climber/climber.html
  12. I think it's all right. There are hidden bonuses in the game to keep things kinda interesting. But the game is so frickin' LOUD!!! I do like the original better overall.

  14. I heartily recommend these titles: Beauty And The Beast Burgertime Snafu Tron Deadly Discs Advanced Dungeons And Dragons: Cloudy Mountain Carnival Dig Dug Ladybug Las Vegas Blackjack & Poker Lock 'N Chase Night Stalker Pac Man Shark! Shark! Utopia Venture Astrosmash
  15. I just looked that game up on Youtube.. wow. Take any of those 900-dial-a-slut type of commercials and multiply the cheese factor by 100 and you have this game. o__O
  16. I remember Gypsy Juggler (Malibu Gran Prix) and Kram (Wunderland), and a weird game called "Munch Mobile" (Wunderland). None of which were all that great. In case you haven't come across this, Flack.. you might like this nostalgic video.
  17. I loved punching Meryl in Metal Gear Solid and running away from her, trying to avoid her wrath.. if she caught you she'd BITCHSLAP you and mutter, "what were you THINKING?" I also liked punching her in the wolf caves and hiding under a cardboard box. She'd whistle for a wolf to come up and piss on you. Also fun was shooting her when Sniper Wolf was trying to shoot you. Colonel Campbell would call you and freak out. "Oh no.. Snake's gone insane!" XD You could also call Mei Ling ad nauseum and she'd make faces at you. And blowing the ravens to kingdom come with heat-seeking missiles was fun.. it would piss Vulcan Raven off when you faced him later.
  18. The stealth suit on Metal Gear Solid.. oh, how I loved going up to the guards and putting C4 on their backs, then walking away and blowing them into next Tuesday.
  19. I hated Prince of Persia for Sega CD, but I did like the yell your character made as he fell to his death (just before falling on spikes, yummy!). The sound on Art Of Fighting when you screw up the bonus stage. The ultimate "Durrh?" sound.
  20. The only time we ever actually SAW teeth on Pac-Man was the cartoon. So maybe in the video games, he has no teeth. Maybe the dots/power pellets have Listerine in them to give him decent breath..?
  21. Hmm.. never seen or played Time Limit. I concur on Star Castle and Bagman. I still play Bagman because the general gameplay is fun. But Star Castle I was ALWAYS bad at. I liked Ladybug and was able to get to probably the 6th or 7th level. I didn't think it was SUPER hard.. The biggest bane to my existence has to be Jail Break, without a doubt. This game makes me want to break it into pieces and stomp them into dust, then relieve myself on the ashes.
  22. I liked the cheering crowd on the Intellivision. Very impressive for its time.
  23. Yeah, Qix used to "Qick" my ass. I read there's a trick to take out the sparks so you only have to deal with Qix.. you make a small "T" out of buildings, and when the sparks come near pull away from the floor/ceiling and let them wander around on the T while you make a big square/rectangle around it. This will trap them on the T and they can't get out. Been a while since I tried it.
  24. Sorry, I was just messin'. I know what they are. No, I'm afraid I haven't tried to build my own.. I think it would be fun but it's not something I have the knowledge to try. Would really like to own a Ms. Pac-Man or a Crazy Climber cocktail, but I have no more space.
  25. Cocktail? Sure; Jack Daniels and Coke, please.
