Lionel Stander, voice of Kup from the 1984 Transformers Movie. Greatest movie ever! It's the reason I collect Transformers.

He was the butler for Robert Wagner on the show HART TO HART back in the 70s/80s. Longtime voice actor John Stephenson took over as Kup in the series after the movie.

They should just have Regis Philbin and Jerry Stiller yell and scream at the audience for 15 minutes.

  5. I will also throw my newest NEO video out there: MONEY IDOL/PUZZLE EXCHANGER Exceedingly cute anime-style characters adorn this puzzle game involving Japanese yen as the descending puzzle pieces! The values are 1 yen, 5 yen, 10 yen, 50 yen, 100 yen and 500 yen. If you can make 2 coins touch (vertically or horizontally) that equal the value of another coin (say, two 5 yen coins or two 50 yen coins) they disappear. Otherwise you'll need to connect 5 of the coins. Chain reactions can be made, of course, by the remaining pieces falling into place to create more connections to make MORE coins disappear, and so on. And don't let the coins reach the bottom, where your character is busily trying to pull down coins or throw them upwards or your game ends (duh). Two special coins will only need 2 of a kind to eliminate, and when eliminated they can either make the coin above them (and all coins like it) increase by one value, like 1 yen turning into 5 yen; and the other special coin will ELIMINATE the coin above it and EVERY OTHER like coin! I recommend Solo Play over VS. the computer-- the 3rd opponent will f*** you over big-time, after facing two consecutive pushovers. Lovely puzzle game with novel gameplay.
  6. Hi NEO-philes! Next NEO game: CYBER LIP. Interesting little take on CONTRA and one of the earliest NEO titles, but the weapon upgrades don't hold a candle to the awesome Spread Gun from Contra. The Metal Slug series would later become the run and gun staple of the NEO system (and Shock Troopers was pretty awesome too), but this could be worse for a very early effort.

I always thought that CCR was singing about having to take a dump. Think about it, Doo Doo Doo, looking out my backdoor. They might as well have been singing Poppa Turtlehead.

  10. I had not heard of him before, so I just looked him up. There was someone else a while back on this site that also posted bogus high scores.
  11. Watching episodes of the 90's Spider-Man animated series. Pretty awesome, but the scenes cut rather quickly to the next, presumably to save on animation costs. Gives the show a bit of a hyper feel.

I always thought it was a few steps away from greatness, but stumbled on the way there. CGI webslinging and censorship hurt it a lot.

It's an old favorite of mine. It was my gateway into the Marvel world as a kid. I haven't seen it in years and have never found DVDs.

I liked that series a lot. But yeah, there were elements of censorship which held back on Spider-Man hitting people and such. A bit like the 80s Spider-Man cartoons in that way

  15. Hey folks. Another NEO GEO review; this is SAVAGE REIGN. I love the presentation of this game and the characters. The novelty of being able to jump into and interact with the background is also kind of interesting. There's just so many moves involving said background to remember that it's a bit much to process, but it's still well worth tinkering with in this cool vs. fighting game.
  16. Hey folks. Latest NEO GEO review: SPIN MASTER, also known as MIRACLE ADVENTURE (Data East, 1993) Interesting little run-and-gun type of game with graphics very similar to CAVEMAN NINJA (goofy). With your yo-yo as your default weapon you can fling it at your enemies or get better power ups (boxing gloves, ninja stars, bombs, etc.), or you can jump on their heads (except the bosses). Don't move forward too quickly on the later levels or you'll get ambushed pretty easily. You can use a charge attack or use a bomb to cause greater damage. Bosses show up at the end of stages, and the 2nd stage on features multiple levels. Levels take place on an airplane, in an Egyptian pyramid, on a mine cart ride, in ancient Rome, etc. Kind of fun and decent controls make this worth picking up.. just remember that there are MUCH better run-and-gun type games for the system (like the incredibly awesome SHOCK TROOPERS).
