  1. They might as well charge that much if they sold them for a reasonable price a few people would buy them all and resell them on ebay anyway.
  2. I would try and find the A/V cable you're gonna want that anyway RF modulators suck.
  3. Did you get an A/V cable too ? If you did you could try hooking that up to a VCR just to test it (I'm assuming your TV doen't have video in)
  4. I looked at getting an import one but there aren't any games I want for it out now anyway so what's the point.
  5. Here are some games I liked I can't remember them all: Grandia 2 EGG (hudson rocks !) Ready 2 rumble Soul calibur Sonic adventure Powerstone (I can't believe capcom forgot about this game) Some that many people liked that I didn't care for too much: Crazy taxi Skies of arcadia Jet graind radio I would get a 4X memory card if you find one.
  6. I get what you're saying but they could just slap a sticker on the box instead of printing a new cover.
  7. I still say Munches Oddsey is the only good Xbox exclusive. All games save to the HDD the memory card is only good to transfer to another Xbox or as a backup for incase the Xbox dies and you get a new one.
  8. I will never under stand why they waste the time and money making a new cover for games they are selling cheaper.
  9. I saw the PS2 version for sale at toys are us but that's the only place I found it at (and I wanted the GCN one) so I just ordered it from the alien hominid website.
  10. I finally got it woo hoo I really like the graphic style of it and the music is cool. I like how it saves after each section because i'm not very good and I think the increases the replayability because you don't get sick of doing the first few levels over and over. I have only gotten to 2-3 but it looks pretty varied to me so far.
  11. Has anyone heard if this game is supposed to be released in the USA ? I had never heard of it before and just saw a trailer on gametrailers.com and it looks cool. From what I can find it sounds like getting an import will be the only way to get it but I was wondering if anyone has read anything different.
  12. Yeah but if people didn't buy extras just to resell the parents would have a better chance of getting one in a store.
  13. I think the DS is silver colored plastic. My SP got all scratched to hell quickly too and the DS has stood up to the same abuse with no scratches.
  14. Who cares the thing just came out last week it's not like you can't buy one because they are no longer produced.
  15. There are free play levels you can get if you get the Katamari big enough on certain levels. I got one unlocked and the problem was there there wasn't as much stuff to collect as there was in the normal level so I couldn't get the Katamari as big as I dreamed I would be able to.
  16. I think the original projections of them selling out were before Nintendo decided to pump out another million or them. With Mario 64 you can use either hand on the touch screen and either the Dpad or the face buttons for the rest of the moves so I would say it's pretty left had friendly. That is going to vary from game to game though.
  17. That plus the fact that the only input device would be the Dpad and a couple of buttons. The DS would be more viable because of the touch screen but I think it's too large to be a PDA. I am hoping nintendo will come out with a more streamlined version like they did with the SP but I will be tough to shrink it with the two cartridge slots.
  18. When you say you are paying 5 dollars a month does that include phone minutes ? Most of the plans here include so many minutes a month and many other features. (And yes we are getting ripped off)
  19. I wonder if they had a specific game in mind when they designed the DS. Everyone says the N64 was designed for mario 64 obviously the DS was not.
  20. No not the greatest hits ones there were coming out with some new ones that debuted at 10 bucks. I don't remember if there was a name for the series or not.
  21. I beileve they still or have recently stopped making games for it. They were churning out 10 dollar games I can't rember what the series is called. I wouldn't let wether they are still making games or not stop him from getting one there are about a million games for it out already.
  22. I went and got one at the Kmart in Minnetonka. I went at 8:00 right when they opened and I was the only one in the store. So I guess if anyone in the twin cities wants one that store would be a good bet. So far I have just played Mario 64 and it looks good but is hard tto control. I tried using the thumb pad thing but I don't see a good way to hold it using that.
  23. When I worked at EB the spiffs were only on the console extended warranty programs and it was such a small amount it wasn't worth thinking about. Maybe it has changed but I can't believe it's a large amount of money. I don't think they are motivated by spiffs as much as they what games they are interested in and I don't think many of them are the hardcore gamer / collector kind of people.
  24. I actully use handhelds as a protable gaming device so i'm not usually playing it where having to use a stylus or carry an extra piece would be convenient.
