In my opinion, if your biggest gripe with modern games is your own inability to avoid information about them, then you have no legitimate gripe with modern games.
Then their gripe should be aimed at the game journalists.

AAAAAH...KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!

A 3-in-1 2600/INTV/CV system? Sounds interesting. Just wondering what the controls for it would be like. ColecoVision controller style? Atari Jaguar style, probably replacing the D-pad with a thumbstick?
-
The upcoming homebrew game Armageddon may be the closest thing we'll have to ColecoVision Missile Command.
-
I'd equate the Atari 2600 as being the greatest of the Golden Age, and the NES as being the greatest of the Silver Age, if videogame system generations can be defined in mineral ages.
-
Pac-Man, Yars' Revenge, and Defender were all made in 1981, and were all released in 1982.
-
Yay, a Missile Command clone for the ColecoVision.
-
Made from the classic 1984 mockbuster.
-
Now a portable 5200? Will wonders never cease!
-
Well, maiki, if they're going to go the gamepad route, might as well have one that includes the paddle knobs or something to control the paddle controller games.

I just don't like having to swap out a Gamecube game disc for the Gameboy Player boot disc if I want to play a Gameboy, Gameboy Color, or Gameboy Advance game. It's only justifiable if you're NOT using the Gamecube to play Gamecube games.
-
Looks more like a copy of the original ColecoVision box. It doesn't even use the Intellivision packaging color scheme.
-
The GBA Player for the Gamecube is nice. I picked one up with boot disc for $20 this past spring. My only problem with it is you have to use those crappy GC controllers to play it.
I need to get a real controller for that GC.B
Get an adapter for using Playstation 2 controllers on the Gamecube.
-
I wonder if that means Gamecube controller support will also be eliminated. Possibly.
-
I basically want the kind of game that never ends, where the only thing that would make me turn away from it is just getting bored, but to have the ability to generate new content that would keep me from getting bored with it too quickly.
-
It's definitely something that only hardcore classic gamers will most likely buy rather than the general public that's more interested in the latest hottest piece of gameware. But I still would like to see Atari 2600 games get some modern console loving, which they are hardly getting.
-
gamecubes are cheaper than dirt and pretty compact.
Well, the downside is that you need a boot disc to go with the Gameboy Player.
-
It should read "Top 10 Worst Game Systems". A console is what you put in your living room and hook up to your TV. Basically brain-dead thinking that comes with thinking "game system equals console".
-
Probably apart from watching old TV shows and movies that most people won't care about, I don't see the appeal of having Netflix on any handheld portable device.
-
Maybe if the game was signed by the "original programmer", it might justify that price amount.
-
Or a "duel" release, seeing which one turns out to be the better translation.
-
Honestly, would it have turned out to be at least as good as the 2600 version? Coleco's INTV releases didn't exactly inspire anyone's confidence that they could.
-
I'll settle for the cheap gold-looking plastic.
-
Would I have bought this game for the Intellivision if it was released back in the day? Probably more as a Smurf collector than as a serious gamer.
