Well since I would really like to get one of these for my own atari project I'm going to suggest demon attack to help speed things up. The trippy, quick colour changes might be a good to test the rca out on.

Um guys, while the atari and the carts are built like tanks the tvs we need to play them on are not. No end of the world atari for you, back of the line, come back next life.

I need an atari 2600 jr. to tinker with. The system need to work though cosmetically it can be beat to heck and look like its been left outside for years. Heck even if you dropped it and its cracked in half but still works i want it. The only important part is the guts. No accessories are needed. This will be used as a project system. I like the looks of the gemini, to me it looks sleek and stylish. Having the controller ports is a bonus, that extra 30 cm's or so helps to get the controller to my couch. Though after doing some reading the word cheap comes up quite often. Is it that the console was inexpensive to make or is the quality of it cheap? Also are the gemini controllers comfy or do they feel bulky and awkward?

Well when you think about it the 2600 was "The Atari system". So when I'm talking to someone about the 2600 I usually refer to it as the atari. If I was talking to someone else that actually collects atari stuff I'd break it down to specifics. Though for me and most people out there the Atari is the 2600.
