I have a Naki dreamcast vga adapter opened but still in its plastic case for trade. This is used to hook up the dreamcast to your computer monitor. If anyone is interested in trading some 2600 carts for it send me a message.

I've never seen anyone chew a controller myself so thats why I found it so odd. Now other forms of controller abuse such as throwing I've seen. I don't know why anyone would want to hurt a poor defenceless controller.

Well today was the first time I've been out specifically to look for atari games. I managed to pick up a total of 10 carts and one cx 40 controller going only to 2 thrift shops. No interesting finds in terms of games. 3 of them are rarity 1's 6 are 2's and 1 is a 3. Though since I'm just starting out they are all ones I needed. The controller wasn't in great shape but I needed one for the internal parts and I managed to repair another cx 40 with it. The strange thing about this controller was that it looked like someone had chewed on the stick part. I'm pretty sure it was done by a person since the chewing is all around the top only. I can just picture someone nervously chewing on their controller as player two gets closer and closer to their best score.

Well I took the switch out and tried to fix it but it's no better now than it was before. It was worth a shot though. Well I'll wait and see if anyone has one actually sitting around before any atari get cannibalized. Though if it is completly 100% dead and no one has a spare switch lying around and if you're going to use it for parts anyways then I would love to get my hands on a switch and a foam guard.

Are these considerably harder to find than the regular cx 40's? I've managed to find 3 cx 40's 2 working and 1 not. Though I haven't seen one paddle or keypad. Heck I've even seen 4 or 5 third party controllers. I didn't get any of these since I like the cx 40s and well I can't imagine anyone wanting to trade for 3rd party controllers. So should I be looking to buy these on ebay or are they not that hard to find in the wild?

Slot Racers sounds kind of dirty .. maybe thats it.

Wow. I never even thought of using the genesis pad with the atari even though they have the same connector. This is great and works perfectly, now I don't have to bother with taking apart my busted cx 40 to make a working controller.

Berzerk hasnt been mentioned and is a rarity 3 so thats my guess.

I'll try this but I don't know how well it will work since the on/off switch makes a grinding sound whenever I have to move it. It's also much more discoloured than any of the other switches. So if you think it's fixible then ill pull it out and see what I can do. Hopefully I won't make it worse and unplayable.

Still looking for the darn on/off switch. Someone here must repair 2600s and has a spare switch and the little foam covering.

Oh, I definatly like, I was going to suggest it till I read in your other thread that you were looking to use a 12v adapter rather than a 9v.

Ooo, pit fall 2 up for grabs! My next guess is .. adventure?

I've always hated the dual shock controllers. When I first got a playstation I traded the dual shock controller for a non dual shock one. The psx controller is no work of art but I found that the dual shock one seems to be off balance which makes it a pain to hold for a long time. The standard Xbox controller is no winner either. I don't have a problem with the size, since my hands are probably bigger than most peoples since I'm 6'4. The problem with the controller is the layout of the buttons. The 4 main buttons are in a diamond shape thats been tilted 45 degrees to the left. This makes it quite easy to press the wrong button if you readjust your hands. Now the Xbox type-s controller is another thing all together. If you take it and compare it to the dreamcasts controller it looks like they rounded it a little and made it black to come up with it. That's a good thing. The dreamcast controller in my opinion is one of the most comfortable I've held since the super nintendo controller. I honestly don't know why anyone would be a second controller for the xbox that isn't the type s one. It's a by far better than the standard one.

I WANT ONE NOW!!!!!!!!! Good things come to those who wait.

Well I don't have a gameboy or a gamegear so these are doing me no good. The carts are as the topic says: Sonic The Hedgehog 2 for the game gear. Zelda: Links Awakening for the gameboy. I don't know the value of these but whatever someone thinks would be fair then i'm sure it's close enough. I'm looking for atari carts and possibly nes carts. The nes carts I'd be most interested in are Mario bros. 2 and 3. As for atari anything I don't have I would like to have. If you're interested in either just shoot me over a pm and I'll get right back to you.

I've heard that with rear projection tv's if a pixel stays one colour for a long time the colour can get burned into the screen. I can't say that it's true but it's just something i've heard.

It looks like 50% of this persons positive feedback is from one person.
