I think the MAME cart might be missing two banks of the ROM. It was 4 banks ROM.
-
The one on Klaus' web site appears to have the two pins: http://www.ti99.eu/?attachment_id=3151 So there might just be two distinct units out there.
-
It was my understanding it was a two pin connector.

I'm trying to get TI Calc working on the UberGROM. One GROM3 6K GROM, and a 32K Bank Switched ROM. I programmed the GROM3 easily enough into the UberGROM. I concatenated the 32K ROM over and over to reach 512K for the ROM portion. I've attached what I have been working off of. I can select English, see a quick TI Calc green title screen, and then I get garbage after I launch. Can someone please check a proper known dump of TI Calc and verify against mine? Thanks! True GROM images for unreleased software needed
acadiel replied to acadiel's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
Gotcha. So Lobster Bay was originally a 32K program. If anyone figures out any of the other ones, let me know. -
True GROM images for unreleased software needed
acadiel replied to acadiel's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
Thanks! That's pretty much the same dump from Lasso than I had. And yes, the last one was clipped. I just padded it to 6,144 bytes. It runs from 32K when you run it, which tells me someone converted it to "copy from GROM to 32K and run" format at some point. -
I'm converting files for UberGROM format, and I have several files that seem to exist in "converted" GROM format (i.e. copy from GROM to 32K and run). I need native GROM images to try and create accurate cartridge images (where 32K isn't present, the game still runs): -> Paddle Ball -> Angler Dangler -> Lasso -> Lobster Bay If these files were only ever released as EA/5, and thus formatted to either ROM CopyTo32K or GROM CopyTo32K, then that's ok - just let me know. Thanks!

Just following back up to see if you can take internal pics of the parallel interface

Strips, Reference Cards, Manuals, Labels and more! (HQ)

That's actually looking pretty nice! I wonder if we source the title font through one of those "What the Font" places if we can find out what it is? -
PHP1900 Thermal Printer emulator and other printer emulators
acadiel replied to FSword7's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
I'm trying to get ahold of a Thermal Printer. I want to look at the way the printhead is hooked up, what kind it is, what it supports, etc. We might end up being able to use the DSR and another thermal head to cobble a "Thermal printer 2.0". -

Can someone please make me a GameVision Demo Cartridge Label for the Demo cart (which has all four games)? Demo cart label: https://www.videogamehouse.net/gamemain/cartsfh/gamevisiondemo/carts/ Yahtzee - https://www.videogamehouse.net/yahtzeegv.html Connect Four - https://www.videogamehouse.net/connectfourgv2.html Hangman - http://www.ti99.eu/?attachment_id=2669 Zerozap - http://www.ti99.eu/?attachment_id=3741 Will pay (to get some labels sent to me, or if you can give me the specs, place to order it from, etc.) -
Hey, would you be talented enough to mock up a GameVision demo cart label for me, please? We can put it along with this image. I've always wanted to make one of those carts! Also - sent ya an email. I have approx 18 1284P's coming in and need to prioritize how many images I make and in what order. I will need to get some more UG boards from you as well, and need to get some more cart shells.

TI Milton Bradley Gamevision tiltles....
acadiel replied to schuwalker's topic in Classic Computing Discussion
I normally don't bump old titles, but I put the UberGROM binary image for the GameVision demo cart in the binary thread. -
I want a HRD4000+ sidecar with the IDE type pin addon. Add that to the sidecar SAMS card.
-
Wow, didn't know that (about the cheat). The fifth GROM must have been the actual demo program with all the hooks and such.
-
As far as content - the Gamevision carts are really the same exact content at the TI ones. Those MBGames are also very unique in that they're in different GROMs. Milton Bradley made a MBGames Demo cart at one point - this cart had every playable MB game in it (CardSharp, Connect Four, Zerozap, Yahtzee, Hangman). I believe they were in GROMs 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. Which is very different because many games were only typically in prod carts in 3 or 3+4. To have a prod cart have a single GROM #4, 5, 6, or 7 was very strange. So, they likely just used the same GROM from the MBGames cart in the prod TI versions. I really want to "burn" MBGames to an UberGROM - I've just been too lazy to do it.
-
Could easily work on the Guidry boards too... and I have probably 20 of those sitting around waiting for a game
-
Try changing your baud rate. Type "AT" and hit enter to see if you can get the modem to respond at different baud rates = 9600, 19200, etc. Your goal is to get the modem to respond. https://support.usr.com/support/3453c/3453c-ug/control_data_rates.html

TI-99-4A-Parallax-TI-Printer-Interface-by-Axiom
acadiel replied to newTIboyRob's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
Don't have one, but here's the manual: http://striker.interhact.net/ti99/datasheets and manuals/Hardware/Axiom ParallAx TI Printer Interface Manual.pdf There is a mention about a 5V @ 250mA supply in the manual. Just don't know which polarity. -
Most of these are four bank ROMs. So, 32K and under, and should also work with the FlashROM.
-
I also attached the sidecar zip file to the post too. Use that instead of the Espial one.
