  1. I volunteer. Seriously, I did inventory Joy Electronics for Mr. deCordova way back when. Helped him adjust some of his pricing too before he sold it all to Mike D.
  2. Yeah, his prices are way out of the ballpark. Being that he likely has quantity of this stuff, and it’s already been out forever in circulation, the market is really die hard collectors at those prices. And, there are only so many of them in our community. Now, take a one of a kind cartridge and auction it, and I guarantee the price will shoot up on its own. It’s what the market will bear.
  3. Slightly off topic from DL. If you send Jim and I your beta Ubergrom, we’ll sign it. I have my first proto of it too. We can then offer that up for grabs and donate the money somewhere. Lol

I'd lay it out with ExpressPCB, but I just don't have the time right now. I know brain (Jim Brain) was working on the SD card Hexbus peripheral. I wonder if we can maybe put a USB compatible PCIF that will work with the third party software above on his board as well? Also, while we're talking about the 74. I seem to remember that the 74S can address more with CALL ADDMEM (16K) than the TI-74 could. However, I can't find my source for that. I just know the fact somehow because I read it somewhere.

  6. The boards are slightly different. Both have an edge card connector in front. Not sure yet if the binaries for the rom are the same or not.
  7. Bar none, it’s a labor of love. Very professional, well laid out, and beautiful. Great job, Fabrice!
  8. Awesome, thanks for dumping the EPROM. I need to get my regular 3 (no plus) dumped as well. Be curious what all the differences between these are.

  10. Do we have a thread (I can't seem to locate one) that tells you how to set up Mame 0.206 for use with the TI? I haven't used it in ages (been using Classic99 almost exclusively), and noticed a few issues to start off with: * TI complete ROMs go in roms/ just fine and it sees them * TI MAME ROMs from Whtech are in there too, but out of the 300 something, it's only showing like 20 in the list * Trying to configure the UI escape key, in-game menu (tab and `), etc, doesn't ever work. I have tried a gazillion different key combos, and I have to hit CTRL-ALT-DEL and terminate MAME in process manager
  11. Yep, that’s II. I wonder what the differences are with III and III+? Jim, have any idea?
  12. I made one. It works! Since I only had IDC connections, I had to use a PCB to bridge the connections, as they go in a different order on the IDC Centronics connector. (1, 19, 2, 20, etc). Note that pin 1 on the edge connector is on the right side of the Miniwriter cart. Also note the ribbon on the Centronics side is backward. Pin 1 is not the red stripe. Oh well.
  13. 200ma should work. I dont think these really need that much current. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  14. Kudos to them for pretty much using a stock cartridge shell for this.
  15. Thanks for the pictures, Flottmann! I just purchased one of these... will put one of these on the end in place of the IDC connector, and I will be in business!
  16. Flottman, can you please get me a pinout of the cable? Thanks!
  17. Sidebar conversation - did the Video Controller do any video stuff with the transparent color? I was always so curious back in the day about why there was a transparent color. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks for explaining. So, the proceeds were to pay for getting TI equipment repaired. That was the missing piece. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  19. If this is the one I remember, it's just simply hooking up inline with the phone receiver. You take the receiver off hook, dial the bbs with the phone and make sure the switch is set to modem, and it cuts off the handset. This was an alternative to using an actual acoustic coupler that you set the receiver into. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  20. Yep, whomever decided to break the chain and sell it definitely broke the original intent of the system changing hands. I have some equipment that I own that was given to me that will be given away too whenever I choose to part with it. It's not going to be sold. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  21. I have one of said systems too. It’s really over the top awesome. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. The cool thing about blobs is that they still had those via's all around... so for hard to dump carts, you simply have to attach jumpers to the via's and to a socket (put into an eprom programmer to read). Easy to figure out which wires are which data/address line by which pin they go to on the expansion bus or bank switch chip.
