Yes, I know this is a TI-99/4A forum, but figured this would be as good of a place to put this as any. I'm throwing out feelers to sell my complete TI CC-40 collection. Note that I want to sell this as a lot. The buyer will have the opportunity to purchase an instant (almost complete) CC-40 collection. 12 Hexbus Cables And Plotter Paper Most brand new sealed 3.5" Floppy With Supply Used with DSDD controller Cc40 8K Working Battery cover, cart cover, good condition Cc40 Carts In Boxes Statistics Advanced Electrical Engineering Mathematics Cc40 Dead With 9201 It's dead, Jim. I'm interested in taking serious offers only. I've added up what I've spent on this over the past 5-7 years, and it's well above $2,000. Ping me if interested. I would rather not put this on eBay and wind up in the hands of someone who won't use, preserve, demonstrate, etc, this great collection of TI's little forgotten computer.

Heh... it's hard to tell with you guys I've been pretty busy, mostly with family stuff. Four kids are a handful. I'm about to reclaim my workbench and such down in the basement to work on some stuff... I think from the TI side, I need to get my F18A reflashed (I don't know if my 844USB will do it or not, I haven't looked into it real closely.) I have it hooked up to a nice 19" flat panel TV via VGA, but unfortunately, it doesn't pass through sound with the VGA. I have two 512K multicart prototypes (on non-green "proto boards") that I found buried that I need to finish building (they just need two switches, a modified cart case, and a label.) They will soon be replaced by the new 512K board, but I'm unsure who/how it's going to get manufactured and distributed yet. I've gotten all my CC-40 stuff inventoried and am preparing to offer it as a package to potential buyers who wants an instant CC-40 collection; there's really not much more than I can do with it other than show it at faires and such. The wife has been bugging me to take my multitudes of shelves of TI stuff and consolidate it a little bit. I still need to load Mad Marvin up in MESS or Classic99 and play it; I bought it from you long ago, but just haven't had the time to convert it over to play it. You make some kick butt games, man.

Hey, you two. Play nice. I love both of ya.....

http://www.engadget.com/2013/04/05/v-moda-val-kolton-engadget-questionnaire/ What is your earliest gadget memory? When I was 7, for Christmas I got a TI-99 and my dad taught me how to program. I'll never forget the unreliable cassette tape drives and early speech synthesis. My first program was writing "HELLO WORLD." When I was 7. That's why our first V-MODA product said "hello world" when you opened the package! :-)

Owen, did you see this yet? I'm probably going to see if we can just make some 74LS378 boards... I can't get that darn GAL to work properly on the alternate board. It was funny how the GAL banking was random on two identically programmed boards. I don't have much test equipment to monitor the outputs to determine what's wrong, but I can tell you the 74LS378 version works well.

Hey, It's Owen! *jumps up and down* - Hey dude!!!

Works great.... But definitely has a current limit. Put something like a couple EPROM cars, multicarts, etc, and it doesn't seem to work right. Not sure what the cartridge port current limit is though.

I always like watching Vorticon's examples.... They are pretty impressive!

Yeah... $7000.... wow.... http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-57569289-1/commodore-65-prototype-sells-for-$7625/?part=rss&subj=news&tag=title

Nice demo!!!!! I'm impressed!

I have a Hexbus prototype working floppy controller as well.... It will probably work fine too. I could only get it to format in TI DSDD, and couldn't figure out how to use other formats on the CC-40/CC-40+. (I'm about to list my whole CC-40/Hexbus lot on some boards.... The wife is bugging me to get rid of stuff.)

The guy who sold this must have a mega vintage prototype collection. He also has a C65 that is going for almost $5000... eBay Auction -- Item Number: 251222396687 BTW, I was the one that originally submitted the article to C|Net. Figured our little Orphan computer could use a good article since the opportunity (i.e. the 99/8) came up.

v9t9 TI-99/4A emulator written in java
acadiel replied to retroclouds's topic in TI-99/4A Development
I really wish we could also get Mike Wright to release his PC99 code for both of you guys to have for reference. I wonder if he'd ever do that if we offered it up as an option. -
Hey, Matthew - at the beginning of St. Nick, it's acting as though I have a collision (I.E. I have hit an enemy). This happens right as the level starts, and doesn't let me play the game. Does it with my ROM multicart and a physical 8K one. Thoughts?

v9t9 TI-99/4A emulator written in java
acadiel replied to retroclouds's topic in TI-99/4A Development
I think they've just named it the "Jon Guidry bank switching method". LOL... Tursi coined it The nice thing is that all you have to do for emulation is manually reverse the banks if the emulator supports the method of banking up to 512K non inverted. The new 512K board will be non inverted, but one can always manually flip the 8K banks around for backward compatibility with an inverted 64K board. (So to run Pitfall in the new 512K one, we just flip the four 8K banks around and all is well in the first 32K of the 512K 49F040.) -
LOLOL.... that video (^^) was a hoot

+1 if the person wants to DIY it. If they don't, we could keep on with the 1284 boards just to keep everything the same. I've been itching to try RXB in a cart

Are you using the Mega to emulate GROM? Dude, send me your sketches and schematic... I'd like to try it on my Uno or Mega. -
I'd love to get TI calc!!!

My 844USB has a "ISP" port on it... never have used it, but supposedly it's for programming JTAG devices. Will that work?
