  1. I know, I know, it's not purist! I agree, I'd rather have a sweet musick app written for the Atari to compliment Mssiah that I use on the C64, but... ...this IS cool regardless if it is written for bloatware.
  2. No doubt, it's amazing that Venture never found it's way to the 8-bit ain't it. Speaking of which did anyone ever convert Adventure II over form the 5200?
  3. I'm not familiar, so are these games not released on the net or what's the specifics exactly?
  4. It would be nice if we had something like Mssiah: http://www.8bitventures.com/mssiah/

  8. Another reminder as to why I should NEVER buy another NTSC Atari EVER. Now you got me dreaming of Giana Sister on the Atari.
  9. Are there any games for the 8-bit that support using more than one button, like with a SMS control pad or something?
  10. Something for the VBXE would indeed be a nice treat, that would make PacMania actually look like the Arcade version more so than the NES or an Atari 8-Bit version ever could. Though, I do agree with Andreas that a Super Mario Bros. clone would be a nice addition. In fact it would be a GREAT addition considering that the only ones we have (that I'm aware of) is Crownland and Bros. Bros. has horrible controls, and Crownland is more of a demo than a playable game due to all the slow downs and flickering (or does more RAM fix that?). Of course a Super Mario Bros. type game would be easy if done for the VBXE, or if a simplistic Super Mario Land approach was taken, it should run fine on the 8-bit without upgrads....
  11. I meant BIN to ART or XEX, not BIT.
  12. How does one convert from BIT to XEX or ATR anyhow? Or make 5200 games work on a XE for that matter?
  13. Sounds really clean, (in a dirty atari 8-bit sort of way), the only way I think you could improve this now is to make the songs longer. So are you using Raster as well? It really goes against my purist principles, but I may just have to have a crack at that software. It's amazing how much the POKEY sounds like the SID.

  15. O.K. that's officially cute. Great job at brain washing your daughter!
  16. PacLand, now that was a fun game! Ever consider the long lost Donkey Kong 2?
  17. That track is VERY fitting!!! What program are you writing the tunes in, and what is the player you used for this boot disk, etc.?
  18. emkay: This is a drastic improvement over the 1st upload. I like it a lot!
  19. Cheetah! So you are the author I wrote to... I humbly bow before you! Did you ever receive my E-mail? It seems that BMC does not like NTSC machines, so I had written requesting the source code in hopes that I could find a coder that would be interested in correcting that. For what ever reason on a NTSC machine, when you select DIR at the top, the listing does not pop up, and you can no longer use the mouse cursor to click on anything. Yet on a PAL machine this is not an issue at all. As for me, I'm going to end up ordering a PAL machine or two, but I thought it would nice to see this software tweaked a little bit so that NTSC users could use it as well. I'm sure with the sudden interest in 8-bit chip tunes, that a lot of American musicians would love to get their hands on an amazing piece of software like this!
  20. I can't find much about RealDOS my self, so sure, I'd be interested in knowing more!
  21. I've not ran anything in basic for years. How exactly do I go about this again? I'd be interested in a manual too for when I get it running. The more musick programs the better.
  22. I have aquired Sven Tegethoff's e-mail adress and have written him requesting the source code to Black Magic Composer. I would have asked him to fix it himself, but every one I've talked to seems to agree that he is no longer active in the community.
  23. Andreas/Charlie: You are a wellspring of information! Thank you for taking the time to go into minute detail. I had taken a vacation from my Atari years ago because I couldn't afford hard drives and what have you, so naturally a lot of the SpartaDOS commands and such that I knew back then have slipped from memory. Likewise since I was never able to afford a hard drive or anything to that effect, I never had the chance to familiarize my self with setting up a Hard Drive and the like. So thankx again for refreshing my memory and helping me out with those things I was totally clueless about.
