  1. Took customs a while to decide on whether I was allowed to have the game, but they finally made up their minds! Been enjoying this quite a bit. I know its not the best platformer out there but I find it to be a fair challenge compared to a lot of other games. It's also interesting to see the differences between this and the Lynx port. The coin + T-shirt make it a really nice addition to the collection.
  2. Amazing collection! Congrats! Interesting to see some of the harder to find items, there was such a small window of time to obtain EotB and those Beta phase games for a decent price. Any favorites among all of them?
  3. This game made me return to the Lynx in my college years. Amazing design and music. The levels will get progressively more difficult, good thing you have unlimited lives. I prefer it over Chip's Challenge
  4. Was hoping to play this game this weekend but it seems that customs likes to have a close look to the parcel for a few days now 😕
  5. My score for Biniax: 4990 Fun game, tried it a few times to get to this. My main strategy is to stay in the middle three lanes
  6. I'm happy to share with you the progress made on the battle screen, showcasing our first two heroes and the first Wyvern boss, design by Molly, animated by @Eternal-Krauser! No worries, I will not spoil the other 20 bosses, you'll have to see for yourself when the time arrives 😎 We have Molly Heady-Carroll joining our team for some pixel art and I couldn't be more happy with her input. She works in the game industry and this is her first time working on a homebrew project. Thank you for your attention! EDIT: Re-uploaded the animation, I screwed up some of the animation frames when creating the composition. The original animation is much smoother!
  7. It's been a while since our last update, but we're building a lot! I'll share something more visual soon but I can give some insights: - the maps for the first region are almost finished - we are working a lot on the event engine needed for certain story elements - we have a new member on the team, a pixel artist who will focus on the boss designs Stay tuned 😎
  8. How nice! I was wondering what direction this game would take
  9. Thanks for the support! Hope you'll enjoy it!
  10. Thanks for the headsup! I enjoy Switchblade II a lot on the Lynx. Great to have this on the Jaguar!
  11. For $700 I would make you a half working prototype of your choice! Off-topic.. I saw a YouTube video of a guy explaining why retro game collecting has been ruined and prices skyrocketed. All about investors artificially inflating the price (looking at you, Wata Games). This practice is awful. I wonder if that's the reason why the Lynx price also keeps increasing..
  12. Finally a remake of We Love Katamari! Been waiting for that for like 15 years.. still playing the PS2 version once in a while but it looks washed out on a 4K TV
  13. Welcome and thanks for sharing! That's an interesting piece you have there
  14. Though maybe a little steep to start playing, I can see Worms work out after some initial bootcamp on the interface and controls
  15. This is it folks, eShop is closed now. It was fun while it lasted. I'm not even sure how to re-download games at this point since it just shows an error when I try to open it. Hopefully this will change in the near future as was promised
  16. I never understood why Unreal Tournament didn't get more mainstream. I had so much fun with UT3 but couldn't get my friends interested to join.. they were all stuck at CoD MW at the time and didn't care for the sci-fi setting.. now Epic pretty much gave up on UT in favor of Fortnite.. eternal shame. I really enjoy Bomberman but to be honest the latest entry on the Switch feels a little bit of a let down. The graphics are nothing to be excited about, I'd argue they're pretty bad for some maps as they mix brown/green tiles which are hard to distinguish. The worst part is that you need to grind for coins to unlock multiplayer maps to play locally together, why??? This is by far the worst decision in the game. The fun is there, but too little variety in the music and maps make it feel like a lazy implementation. I'd argue that Duke Nukem is a lost case.. the first 2 games were really fun platformers (here's an idea if someone ever reads this.. NukemVania) and of course everybody loves the 3D games that came afterwards. And then the IP got royally screwed over and became the joke of the industry and still is to this day afaik.
  17. Oh wow some games from 40 to 4, now that's a deal! I'm also dealing with a full sd card. It was pretty much empty at the beginning of this thread
  18. Great news! I actually started playing Unseen again yesterday, still haven't been able to finish it since I got it initially. What does story optimizations mean? Different branches?
  19. According to this article it should be possible to redownload purchases. Though I wonder if it makes sense to get another 3DS in case you need to register your account/device.. not sure how that would work with that whole Network ID being different than the Nintendo ID or however its all called and fractured.. I like JRPG grinds myself but wasn't ready for the 80 hour main quest of this game. I think I'm 20 hours in and had to give it a break. I guess the loading times to battle have significantly improved over the PSX though, but it honestly could use some auto-battle functionality.
  20. Did the same with the Korg music apps.. just saw it on 50% discount 😅 At least I already spent a good amount of time playing with it
  21. Got a whole bunch of them today, lot's of titles on sale now!
  22. My gut feeling tells me that there's no big consumer market for expensive hardware that needs to be strapped to the face to stare at small screens to create a nauseating feeling of immersion if used longer than 30 minutes. I can see it work in the entertainment business though. We have a VR Arcade in our city that allows you to run freely in a big space shooting zombies/aliens and its great! They map the digital space to match the building such that you don't run into a wall or pillar. The matches are 15 minutes each and after 2 sessions I feel mentally exhausted. I think they deliver the best VR experience one could wish for, but their setup is huge and the gameplay is rather limited to run and shoot in a local network. Any kind of delay feels like a huge impact on the brain so I can't see this ever work in an online environment, let alone the fact that you'll need one of those treadmills that allow you to run in arbitrary directions if you want to have this kind of experience at home.
  23. I still fondly remember those glorious days that I walked into the local army surplus store and bought a stack of floppy disk games that I couldn't get anywhere else. This was around 1994. Toystores were only selling console games and PC stores were not really around yet. Got some real oddities from that store like Moraff's Dungeon and Ancients 1: Death Watch (ugh..), but luckily also Wolfenstein 3D and BioMenace
  24. Thanks! Some cool suggestions that I haven't heard of before
