Thomas Jentzch made a Sprintmaster DC hack. http://www.atariage....ftwareHackID=44 I have never played it but I really want to; oh well one of these days I will get a Harmony Cart or Stella Adapter and be able to rock it. Also I greatly agree that paddle versions of Enduro and Pole Position would be awesome.

Quite rare you say, how rare it is Rom Hunter? I have NTSC Bobby Is Going Home By CCE, it and Shuttle Orbiter are the two prize possessions of my 2600 collection.

Yes! I have finally made it to death screen in Demon Attack, it was the most beautiful high pitch whine I have ever heard! And now I finally know what version of Demon Attack I have. One of these days I will have to try and find the other version that doesn't crash after wave 84 so i can see how high I can get my score.

I enjoy the game play and love that the blocks have a blurry tracers following them to make them look like they are going even faster. The only thing that would hold me back from buying it is that the sounds are way too sparse, if it had some more cool sounds it would be alot more enjoyable of a gaming experience.

How far can the Atari 2600's BASIC Programming go?
sloth713 replied to Dittohead Servbot #24's topic in Atari 2600
Actually the initial version of Halo was based of what code microsofts team of retarded monkeys could recover after running over atari basic programming with a steam roller -
Turmoil in your abdomen... sounds like you might have a bad case of Montazuma's Revenge!

Do you remember what the software was and where I could get? I would love to make my own magic eyes!

Since you dont do mods you can buy one modded for you but it will cost you a pretty penny https://www.atari260...--PROD7828.html Also keep in mind that the atari 2600 was designed to be viewed on standard CRT TV monitors not hi def flat screens. High def TVs will give you sharper cleaner lines but the atari graphics where actual designed to blur a little on standard CRTs so they would blend together and look a little less blocky. For evidence of this play a cart with an awesome sunset on it, like Barnstorming or BMX Airmaster, on a CRT and a high def TV (or even an emulator) and you will see the sunset looks a lot nicer and a little more "natural" on the standard CRT.

25,100 nothing feels better than shooting down a crater UFO while jumping over the crater it made.

5.94 The best piece of advice I can give is skip to 2nd gear as quick as possible off the start. Also make sure that your taps to left to shift are as quick as humanly possible.

Are you going to buy a Harmony cart for the Atari 2600?
sloth713 replied to Random Terrain's topic in Harmony Cartridge
Right now you power-cycle. The Atarimax is not for the 2600, right? I assume it's not because there is practically no way a switch could work on a conventional 2600 multicart as there is no interrupt line on the CPU (much less the cart slot.) The Harmony could actually get around the interrupt thing, however, but it won't have a button on the cart. I thought I would mention that on Harmony it would be theoretically possible to run the menu from a game based on a combination of console switches and/or controller fiddling without needing a power cycle. The question is how desirable would that be, and if such code could fit in the BIOS. I think it would be desireable because it would reduce overuse of the power on/off switch when flicking through games, but then again, the Atari is not the Colecovision - its switches are more durable. I also agree that not having to turn off and on the system to change game would be greatly desirable. Batari might I humbly suggest that the way to get back to the Harmony cart menu should be to press both the Game Select and Game Reset switches on the console at the same time. If technically feasible I believe this would be the simplest and most intuitive control scheme for switching to another game. -
Not only does Video Life have an attract mode but it also plays its self!!!!! Also Video Life keeps score during its attract mode.

What "FUN" games do you play that are Rarity 5 and above?
sloth713 replied to Kenwood's topic in Atari 2600
Laser Gates is a must play River Raid II Shuttle Orbiter Rescue Terra I Frankenstein's Monster Bump N Jump Polaris Sir Lancelot Star Strike Strategy X Time Pilot Track And Field (but you need the track and field controller to make it fun to play for more than 2 minutes) Tanks But No Tanks (prepare to go into a seizure due to all the flickering) Beamrider Video Life (I dont know why but I just like it, it is like lazy sim city you just set it up and it takes care of its self) -
It is to late to edit so I have fix it the lame way by quoting my self, what I meant to say was: The Atari was totally a family unit because it was originally more marketed as a grown up toy and if the parents were playing the kids were bound to beg until they could play it too. Man I need to stop posting so late at night because my drowsiness is making me sound like a moron

Didnt they ever see all the hooky 1970 pictures of family's all playing their Atari together? The Atari was totally a family unit because it was originally more marketed as a grown up toy and if the parents where had the kids were bound to beg until they could play it too.

Bump N Jump by INTV is the only cart that has ever died on me oddly enough my older Bump N Jump by M Networks that looks like it has been to hell and back keeps chugging along and never gives me problems

I prefer to use Guided missiles because i like "sliding" the shots into the enemies. All though I can definitely see a strategic advantage of straight missiles, where you do not have to stay under the enemy hoping you kill him before he shots at you.

I definitely know 4 and 5 And i have pretty good idea what 2 might be also i have a hunch what 3 might be

If you are playing Reactor with a joystick you need to get your self a trackball, it makes the game way better.
