  1. I don't have a CC2, an emulator, or a way of hooking up paddles with an emulator so I'll have to wait for the awesomeness. Can't wait until there is an H2 out or a cartridge version of this!

Could someone take a live video of the gameplay? It would be cool to hear and see the final product.

  2. The Atari Age store used to sell these plastic bags awhile ago. They are just big enough to hold the 2600 cart. Anyone know where I can order these?

    Thanks in advance

eightbit has them for sale in this thread:

"27 Game storage bags: These will fit Atari 2600/7800 or N64, Genesis, and I believe SNES carts. Standard ziplock type bags. I had 27 left hanging around. Take em for $5 shipped in a standard mailer."

  3. I love those games and the cartoon side of it

so I am looking for anything to do with those characters

    MAPPY nothing yet

Did you get the Pooyan just released for ColecoVision?

  4. Looks pretty good.

About a year ago I modified a standard controller built a couple circuits and added 4 face mounted buttons so that it could be used as a SAC. I played around with using 2 buttons also.

While I kinda liked them, it took too much away from the original game play feel. Here is a link.

Oh, I dig that. Love the underlay.

I think I need a Turbo underlay for when I use the EM2. Though you really don't his any of the buttons... So it would be useless. :)

  5. I have several controllers from Yurkie and I absolutely love them. I went to Axman today looking for a key switch and didn't find any. I did however find a bunch of red momentary switches that are about the size of those found on an Atari CX-40. I had bought one for a different project I was working on--but I decided to buy a few of these to see if I could successfully add a second primary fire button to a Yurkie modified controller. When playing Atarisoft games like Defender, it's nice to have the top button for more control, but I prefer to have the Coleco controller fully functional because I lean toward using the side buttons most of the time anyway. The result is this:

  6. Is there a way to get the key cylinder to turn clockwise?

Yeah, i think if i just cross-wire it--it should work in reverse. The key is designed wrong as I explain above, but if it works in reverse...as I believe it should... I'll be set.

    Thx for all the compliments!

No dice on the switch. I wasn't thinking straight. :ponder: The switch leg is still the same when you switch the + and - on this switch. So it still only turns on when opening the circuit counterclockwise.

    *le sigh*

THE EXPANSION MODULE #2 KEY SWITCH MODIFICATION!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCa5K7JzzZA

The key switch turned out to really be a toy switch... it is VERY small. So it was easy to add it to the EM2. Plenty of room and a nice fit. I -=am=- disappointed that it doesn't turn clockwise but I may reverse the wires to make it work the way I want it to. There are tiny little red/green dots on it indicating which way it should be turned for the on position which is how/why I wired it up that way.

I'd say this mod is complete. :-)

  8. I got both of these today for $5 each at a local thrift.

One for the Atari, one for the Colecovision.

Both a little beat up, but nice to have. :)

Love it. My thrift stores never have this stuff!

Took me a while to figure out which post you were talking about until I looked at the date and realized it was from the first page. Wow, we're 373 pages into this thread that started in December 2002. Very cool :)

    I didn't even notice that. Heh. :D

  9. You'll also need emulator support for file and keyboard I/O. Personally, I think that most people interested in developing BASIC games would not develop directly on the 7800 except out of curiosity.

Could this be used to eventually incorporate maybe an ADL Engine of some type for text adventures?

  10. Sorry guys, I'm done racking my brain with this. Text mode is the only way the HSC works reliably. If whoever created the code for the HSC actually knew how to program, it wouldn't be so temperamental.

I think my time is better spent working on actual games instead of spinning my wheels trying to get this POS code to work. I will use Text Mode from now on. Sorry. :(

    Here is RC5:

Would anyone who worked on the 7800 XM know how to get it working?

  11. Mumbai has a pretty extensive CV for sale thread in the Marketplace you may want to check out. I think the pricing is pretty good.

I'll second that and add I've bought 20 or so carts from him. All were in awesome shape and the prices (as mentioned) were great.

  12. Thanks Ahreen, but looks like there's no love for ST here on AA. I have this sneaking suspicion though that there are more Star Wars fans here for some reason. :ponder: :rolling:

Well, I have all six movies in collectors edition allready. :P

I'm a huge ST fan. The issue with these DVDs isn't that they are not in good shape or anything--but the Collector's Editions have all been out for so long they are not very expensive to pick up in a set.

The Collector's sets were all remastered with Anamorphic transfers. Many of the original discs, while widescreen were not as good a transfer... and some may not have been anamorphic... I don't recall at the moment.

The NEW ST DVD movie set is only $48 with free shipping on Amazon right now. The Blu-Rays were also very inexpensive (I think Paramount finally figured out their fans are tired of re-buying the films.)

Just a frame of reference post... not trying to kill the sale. :(
