Donkey Kong Arcade/pokey is rumored as well, but again, no official announcement.
Check out the 7800 hacks forum.

If the Pac-Man and Donkey Kong POKEY versions get made into carts, I'm gonna get them for sure. Though wouldn't it be possible to make an almost exact port of the Arcade versions given the new Yamaha synth chip and the extra RAM?
I was under the impression that OpCode/Eduardo, the colecovision homebrewer, was already working on a full-boat DK 7800 rewrite for the 7800XM with all 4 levels, arcade exact graphics, and sound.
Kind of a bummer if that's not the case.
I thought his was for the ColecoVision and the Super Game Module... http://opcodegames.com/?cat=5

The file currently available for download won't work with a CC2. You'd need a bin file for that. This is emulator only.WOW! I'll try this when I get some time - hopefully this weekend. CC2 settings?
Oh how I wish the H2 were here! :-)

They have gotten more strict.
I have started using UPS and FedEx more often. They're often cheaper on large ticket items anyway.
USPS also gets mad when I chop the Priority Mail logo off of a Priority Mailing label to use it to fill out an address. Rightly so, but they refused to ship my package even though it didn't say "Priority Mail" anywhere on the package.
Their international priority mail prices are insane.
The thing that drives me absolutely nuts though is that even with all of the mail being shipped today they can't seem to afford to keep the post office fully staffed (lines out the door half the time) or for that matter find a full crew of good people to work--at least at my post office. Our mail man is great. But the people at the post office near me are complete idiots.

Ok, dudes.
As soon as I get my Canon camera back from repair, I'll shoot a couple and post them with a reply in the forum. The ManCave really extends the length of my basement. I also own a Tron cocktail machine, a coin-op dart board and modern consoles as well. I'll do my best to cover my collection.I forgot about doing this for awhile, but I took some photos of my Mancave to share...
It's really just a glimpse. I have a storage container with more stuff that comes out for the Spring Retro Video Game Party that I throw...

I'd like to participate, but the left controller (used for 99% of games) on my O2 doesn't move in all directions. It's one of the hard-wired ones, too. Any chance these are easy to repair? Haven't actually looked into it.
Does it physically not move in the directions or does it simply not move objects in the games when you move the stick?

Hey gang,
Long time lurker here...
I was wondering if anyone knew of a ROM or a cartridge that exists to do some bank testing on the ColecoVision mainboard? I have a RevF that appears to have been submerged in Coca-Cola or some other toxic abrasive yet the board still functions... mostly. It will load standard ColecoVision carts but nothing with a large memory footprint. So homebrew games like Mario Bros. will not load or play.
I bought some ICs to replace bad memory (if that's the case) but I was wondering if there was a way to test the memory... I do have a way to burn a ROM if necessary. Of course, it might be a trace since it's all nice and bubbly but I still think it would be great to have a bank tester if there were such a thing.
Thanks,
-Madaracs
Check this website out for some CV Mod Boards with full PDF instructions available. They also have a mod to replace the current +5v memory chips with memory chips that require less voltage... therefore of course less heat build up. Looks like some nice stuff, but I'll let you decide as my days of fiddling have long past.
Has anyone else heard of this place or dealt with them?

Hi Jim,
That's my site.

Raymond
I think my friend, Jim ordered some stuff from you for my Tron machine.

It appears that Omegamatrix provided a bug fix for Buck Rogers here.
Hey, thanks! I'll give it a shot tonight.

This works on my harmony/7800 combo.
Marked improvement. Thank you. This place rulez.

Cool. What's GW?

Bookshelf: Yep. I might have to go that route... although I think I'll end up rebuilding my closet. I put shelves in but it wasn't very efficiently laid out...

Sold.

It looks like one I bought at a Barnes and Noble in January 2010. Is that the same issue?
This is Vol.1 the new one you just bought is Vol.2

Wow, thats cool looking, but its dirty as all sin!
I kind of enjoy cleaning up electronics. The fact that it's so dirty may be a good thing... May mean that it was used less.

If the P on the end label turns blue you may be in trouble.

Bump. Now up for sale.

I also highly recommend the Super Pac-Man cartridge.
How does 7800 Super Pac Man (and Jr Pac Man for that matter) compare to the 8-bit versions? I already have the Super and Junior Pac Man 8-bit prototype repro cartridges and they're great arcade conversions. Jr Pac Man is missing the intermissions but I'm guessing the 8-bit versions have better sound.
I have no way to compare since I've never played the 8-bit versions but I can say these are as close to the Arcade as you're gonna get on the 7800 (maybe minus the sound). They both have the expected intermission sequences and the emulation of the arcade AI of the ghosts is spot on. The speed of Super-Pac is as you would expect it to be--this arcade-port matching the actual Arcade game -very- closely. (I know because I have both the arcade and the 7800 cart.) Jr. Pac-Man is simply the best port I've ever seen on any system of that game. The only thing that might improve these is a future POKEY sound adaptation (like the recent one done for the Pac-Man Collection.)
You can't go wrong with either of those carts and you will not be disappointed.

My oddball thrift find is some CDi games, they were in with music CDs so I go them for $2.00 each.
Joker's Wild, Space Ace, and Escape from Cybercity. They also had a golf game but I only had $6 on me.
Now to find a CDi unit...
You know, I have a CDi I'm willing to part with (for a fair price.) Have several games and a gamepad for it. It also has the DVC installed so you can watch VCDs and play games that required the Digital Video Card for enhanced graphics.

So is that NOS or does someone actually make the doors?
Someone makes them. You do have to shim down the hinge a little or the lid won't close properly but other than that it looks factory stock.
Veddy nice. Thanks!

Awesome job!
Very cool. How did you make the door?

I take it the "Season" and possibly the "double disc sets" would be more than $5?
-
so maybe it won't be so bad not having it.
I do notice that the systems that have that ground wire have a clearer picture. But most people wouldn't notice. I like the ground wire because if I dismantle the ColecoVision for modding, I hate trying to solder the top shielding-plate to the mainboard. It's a real pain in the butt. Then again, Coleco probably never meant for the thing to be taken apart.
