I forgot about doing this for awhile, but I took some photos of my Mancave to share... Flickr Set It's really just a glimpse. I have a storage container with more stuff that comes out for the Spring Retro Video Game Party that I throw...

It would be cool if you could see the face of the female trapeze artist--and if she was "Stella" as seen on the Stella's Stocking Stuffer...

Odyssey 2 High Score Thread (Updated - 02/11/09)
Madaracs replied to theking21083's topic in Odyssey 2 / Videopac
Does it physically not move in the directions or does it simply not move objects in the games when you move the stick? -
ColecoVision Bank Tester, Color Pattern Cartridge
Madaracs replied to Madaracs's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Check this website out for some CV Mod Boards with full PDF instructions available. They also have a mod to replace the current +5v memory chips with memory chips that require less voltage... therefore of course less heat build up. Looks like some nice stuff, but I'll let you decide as my days of fiddling have long past. Has anyone else heard of this place or dealt with them? http://www.arcadecom....com/index.html Jim Hi Jim, That's my site. Raymond I think my friend, Jim ordered some stuff from you for my Tron machine. -
Hey, thanks! I'll give it a shot tonight. This works on my harmony/7800 combo. Marked improvement. Thank you. This place rulez. :)

Cool. What's GW? -- Bookshelf: Yep. I might have to go that route... although I think I'll end up rebuilding my closet. I put shelves in but it wasn't very efficiently laid out...

This is Vol.1 the new one you just bought is Vol.2 -
I kind of enjoy cleaning up electronics. The fact that it's so dirty may be a good thing... May mean that it was used less.

If the P on the end label turns blue you may be in trouble.

How does 7800 Super Pac Man (and Jr Pac Man for that matter) compare to the 8-bit versions? I already have the Super and Junior Pac Man 8-bit prototype repro cartridges and they're great arcade conversions. Jr Pac Man is missing the intermissions but I'm guessing the 8-bit versions have better sound. I have no way to compare since I've never played the 8-bit versions but I can say these are as close to the Arcade as you're gonna get on the 7800 (maybe minus the sound). They both have the expected intermission sequences and the emulation of the arcade AI of the ghosts is spot on. The speed of Super-Pac is as you would expect it to be--this arcade-port matching the actual Arcade game -very- closely. (I know because I have both the arcade and the 7800 cart.) Jr. Pac-Man is simply the best port I've ever seen on any system of that game. The only thing that might improve these is a future POKEY sound adaptation (like the recent one done for the Pac-Man Collection.) You can't go wrong with either of those carts and you will not be disappointed.

The Official "Thrift finds" Thread

You know, I have a CDi I'm willing to part with (for a fair price.) Have several games and a gamepad for it. It also has the DVC installed so you can watch VCDs and play games that required the Digital Video Card for enhanced graphics. -

So is that NOS or does someone actually make the doors? Someone makes them. You do have to shim down the hinge a little or the lid won't close properly but other than that it looks factory stock. Veddy nice. Thanks! -

Awesome job! Very cool. How did you make the door? -
I take it the "Season" and possibly the "double disc sets" would be more than $5?

what is this wire for inside the colecovision?
Madaracs replied to stringfellow's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
I do notice that the systems that have that ground wire have a clearer picture. But most people wouldn't notice. I like the ground wire because if I dismantle the ColecoVision for modding, I hate trying to solder the top shielding-plate to the mainboard. It's a real pain in the butt. Then again, Coleco probably never meant for the thing to be taken apart. -
Any chance the mobile version will be getting a facelift soon?

I just won this on eBay! I think I may have paid a little too much but it seemed fair for the model with detachable joysticks... and it looks to be in great shape. Is there an Odyssey2 thread here for us Odd Odyssey fans? -
I'd get this but I just don't need another Atari console. It's cool tho! eBay Auction -- Item Number: 160494275250

what is this wire for inside the colecovision?
Madaracs replied to stringfellow's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
That cable grounds the rf box to the motherboard. If you cut it and it works, I say you got lucky and bumped something making a connection. Eliminating a ground is not a good idea, nor should it ever be a repair technique. All the grounds on the motherboard make contact with the metal shielding and prevent interference. I usually agree. I just found it weird that the other two colecovisions I have opened didn't have that ground. I think I will just make a new and different ground. That one just looks like an after thought anyway. Later revisions removed it and relied on the solder connection between the top plate and the mainboard. -
Thanks for all the offers i got so far. I decided to go the ebay route I took AX's advice and started it at $99 dollars with NR. Here is the item id if any one is interested: 190410612869. Thanks again, Joeyray [/quote Too bad she didn't have a stack of sealed magical chases... That would be amazing... Can you just post a link to the auction?
