  1. I have never seen these before! They're awesome!
  2. I have never seen these before! There awesome!
  3. Sent you a list of 17 of them.
  4. Oh yeah! I can really relate to the challenge now. (P.S., sent you a link to those actual files as well.)
  5. Man, that is difficult! But I managed to produce two pretty nifty looking .pc files. One's the logo of my website which turned out stellar. It's really hard to manipulate the colors and have them not bleed into other options in CVPaint. I assume that's because of how colors and graphics are displayed on the ColecoVision. But I managed. I'm going to have to put some time in on this and see what I can really do.
  6. Yeah. Dis is supah sweet. +1! Got mine all organized tonight. I realize I don't have a LOT of stuff. :-) I re-organized things a little bit to single out Homebrews and Prototypes. But I just wanted to thank you again for your hard work. Can someone tell me how the .pc files are made? Is there a dump kit you can buy to do screenshots and dump your own ROMs? I'd like a personal copy to be able to call up on this thing whenever I like. While I got the boxart pics from Retroillucid's collection that was posted here and a good amount of the ingame screenshots from David Harley's collection that he posted on his website after all the controversy, all the title screenshots and a large number of ingame screenshots were captured by me using the M.E.S.S. Emulator in Windows (there are numerous other CV and ADAM emulators that you can use). Once you have the screen capture from the emulator (has to be 256x192 which is what MESS makes... CV's native resolution), you have to copy the screenshot (with MESS it will be in PNG format) to the clipboard and then load CVPaint2. In CVPaint2, choose "From Clipboard" and the screenshot will be converted to the proper number of colors and displayed and then you can save the AtariMAX Ultimate SD Cart compatible picture file in *.PC format. Good Luck, Jim Thanks for the tip. I think I should be able to do this fairly easily. As soon as I find CVPaint. Here it is. Muchas gracias, mi amigo! Woot! This will be fun.
  7. This is a good deal for someone just starting out. But it's also super risky. Looks like that Empire cart has sticker on the label... and who knows how many still work? I'd let it sit.
  8. Not to veer off topic, but it might fun to see Gaplus (Galaga 3 to us North Americans) as a 7800 game. Go in a completely different direction! Literally!
  9. I've exhausted the local Axman (junk store in MN) and haven't had much luck at RadShack. I was wondering if anyone here has a favorite place for finding cool DPDT switches. Or DPST for that matter.

  11. I have a feature request. I'd like a .pc file with the AtariMax Ultimate SD boot screen in the root of the /Coleco directory. That way at our Fall Retro Gaming Party when I have this thing out, I can have the ATARIMAX Screen displayed as an "Attract Screen." Heck, it would be really cool if there was an actual attract screen when you were at the main menu--like a screen saver. Is that even possible? Anyway, don't know if that would be very easy so I'd settle for a .pc file if you wanted to provide it.

  13. Just sharing the love... ColecoVision T-Shirt
  14. Wouldn't that be a kicker if you somehow were able to actually get them back?
  15. They're really not hard to replace yourself. And it's cheaper!
  16. I'm sure before an educated collector paid, he could specify the method.
  17. Crazy Climber. But I'm cheap so I won't pay $50 for it. Probably been seriously looking about 2 years but I've had my eye out for longer.
  18. I love Best Electronics, but you are soooo right about their web site design. And it's been like that for-ev-ah.
  19. Just wondering, anyone have a chance to try this out? Any need for a 40 column mode as well? 40 column mode has smaller tiles and is restricted to black and white I believe, but should have more usable screen space. Steve I had a chance and it works great. I found a bug in my cartridge I think... I copied the 3.12 ColecoVision FAQ to my cartridge just to see how it would read. It's pretty huge. I currently have my directories setup like this: /Coleco Adam /Coleco Demos /Coleco Prototypes /Coleco ROMs /CollectorVision Bonus /Firmware Backup /Images /Manuals /System Test cvsdos.sto The 3.12-Coleco-FAQ.txt is located in /Manuals. If I open the /Manuals directory, and open the 3.12-Coleco-FAQ.txt, close the text file and return to the main directory listing... /Coleco Demos now reads garbage... with bleed over from the 3.12 FAQ text file clearly visible. It's kinda wacky. I ran the diagnostics (BTW-The System Test utilities are flippin' brilliant.) and everything appears to be good on that ColecoVision. I haven't tested it on one of my other ones. It's not a big deal really. The moral of the story is not to have that enormous text file on my SD Card. Just thought I'd post it for posterity in the event there is a similar issue.
  20. I'm gonna say... I don't know? Can you just tell me the name of the movie you'd like to see? I found a ColecoVision FAQ... appears to be a downloadable file requiring office? Is there a link here? COLOR ME NEWB. Google is your friend. Just try "Coleco FAQ" as keywords. Version 3.12 of the text file should be complete enough for your needs. Thanks, man. 'preciate it. This is awesome. (And I'm gonna throw the .txt file on my Ultimate SD cart!) Sheesh. My noggin' is starting to hurt from all of this knowledge. This is so cool! I've been totally rediscovering so much about this awesome console. I am so glad there is a community to keep this thing going. I have 5 working ColecoVisions right now. One is a special project that I need to finish up!

  23. I've been looking all over the webby internet thingo for a definitive list of ColecoVision games that excludes Homebrew--namely an official place that lists how many original titles there were and all of the games. It would be nice to have a list of all of the homebrews as well. (separately) Prototypes? Etc? Anywhosit, I'm sure it's out there and I've just not searched hard enough but even the wikipedia (maybe I missed it) doesn't seem to list the official number of games released for the unit. They have a list that includes homebrews... but not the number of games total. There is probably someone here who has that list or has posted it. If you could point me to the right web page or an article here, I'd appreciate you contributing to my laziness.
  24. PM sent. (This should probably be moved to "wanted" no?)
