How is the projected date of January 30th looking?
-
Im actually interested in trying doing one myself. I havent even seen how people cut out the cart slot or where they put it anyone have info on that?
See, now that would be fun. And if you wreck it, you can buy another one for pretty cheap.

I have 3 commas, here is a pic

How much are you offering?
I'll go six.

And I'll through in a period to boot.

If all goes well, who knows, I might find the missing events in WG, or get California Games going. I do have source code for what I did for CG, and it may or may not be complete, but I do remember I got at least one or two events working.
As for "new" stuff, who knows. My 16-year-old son is a big retro-gamer, he and I might get together to brainstorm a new game

Someone get this man a Disk drive! Man, California Games on the 7800 would be awesome as would a revised Winter Games.
Still I'm sure all of us would be thrilled by getting access to your original fixed Impossible Mission too.
We've exchanged PMs and I'm sending him one Monday morning.

you dont want much do you?

I think he just wanted to make the combat tank "shoot" as it were. Either that or the cat was on his keyboard.

the price just went up a little. history in the making?
US $22,409.99
Well, I for one won't bid. I mean, SIX DOLLARS for the shipping? That's just outrageous.

Sorry I should have given a more complete description... I have never taken it out of the box (until just now to take a picture). The serial numbers on box boxes and the unit match. The belt has never been replaced by me. The unit is in good physical shape... the button are all solid. I was told it worked when I bought it (ten years ago) but I have never plugged it in.
I plugged it in after reading your response and nothing happend... If I remember right that is the expected behavior on a 410 where the SIO cable is not connected to a machine.
That's a good price even if it doesn't work. Belts can be had for cheap... and even if someone else installs them it should only run you about $30. But if it's been in the box and inside (not in a Minnesota garage for 10 years where the temp may vary from -30 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit) the belts should be OK.

Yep,. that's what I need. Preferably, a 360K one, NOT a 1.2MB.
PM Sent.

About how much would it cost to add a cart slot to a Flashback 2 and would anyone accept any trades? Alternatively if anyone has a modded Flashback 2 how much are they willing to sell it for?
Thanks!
You might consider just buying a real Atari VCS. Personally, I haven't seen any threads around here with people selling modded Flashbacks. Good luck though!

Awwww, am I the only one who DIDN'T get a Furby

I didn't get one. And I'm happy about that...

I didn't either.
It would go to waste on me anyway, so I too am glad. -
CG, no. I haven't had the time to fool around with the sources that I DO have of it, and I am still trying to find a good 360K floppy drive to try to read the crappy floppies I have of it - the things start to delaminate as I read them, so I need to get a really good floppy drive that I can clean easily.
IM, actually I found the original compiler I used with it, so I am somewhere in the middle of going back to the original code and compiling and checking it against the binaries to make sure it compiles 100% perfect. From there, I already know what the bug is caused by, so I am going to TRY to get it fixed and compiled. Maybe this coming Spring I'll have binaries ready.
Wait. So do you just need a 5.25 floppy drive for a standard PC then?

Break Time
That's something related to the idea of doing a museum, showing how important this kind of project really is.
In this video, kids (in 2010) try to guess what are these objects from our past (20-30 years ago) including an authentic gameboy and a colecovision game cartridge. This video was made by Cyberpress, near where I live, which explains why it's in french, and the guy who uploaded this video added annotions in english so it's easier for you to understand... but I'm sure you can understand a few words, very common words, without reading the annotations.
Good continuation with the ColecoVision Museum DVD!
I loved this. Thanks D!

When you release the new IM I'm definitely in.
Great reading this thread today! -
Another late suggestion: How about a a thorough history on where Coleco came from?
The wikipedia tells us that in 1932 Coleco was founded by Maurice Greenberg as "Connecticut Leather Company" Co Le Co... But it would be coold to get a little more in depth than wikipedia. Or maybe that's all we know, I don't know. *shrug*

I am glad that you followed through and that more than anything else you are okay! While thinking some people are freeloaders, I think the biggest concern all-around was that there were members who signed up but for whatever reason could not participate, and it's good to hear that it wasn't anything serious. This is a very healthy perspective.

**Video**
Maybe this video can help to figure out what is Tapper and how to play it. I'm using an emulator and I'm playing at the highest difficulty level... I've not reached the aliens screen but I'm happy because it's my best game performence so far.
Dood. I totally see how to pick the right can now!
Heheh. -
GRAND PRIZE VIDEO
Sorry for the delay in posting, but since Ax obviously took some time with the grand prize, I wanted to have fun with it as well!
For those of you who participated, thank you. Go ahead and pop that microwave popcorn that Ax provided you, and enjoy the 6+ minute unboxing video!
Regards,
Rich
BTW- Ax is truly an evil genius! I totally enjoyed the work involved, and I "got" the humor.
*** For those of you who wish to participate on the next one, there's slots opened on Ax's new BoC thread HERE.
+1 for the video. Guess you'll be participating in the next one with all of that moola you got.

The replacement pwr supply only works with consoles that are modded for single supply video ram....they won't work with a stock one because they only have 5 and 12v outputs (no -5v).
But....I am going to be putting together replacement supplies for stock consoles sometime soon. They will be similar to a Commodore 64 type with 2 cords, so they won't be a giant wall wart like the stock ones. Over voltage and over current protected....unlike the originals.
Oh, OK. I run a 12V lamp on a couple of my spares with a modded switch replacement. Would that still work with a board that had the RAM replaced and the new power supply?
The kicker there is getting the 4 pin connector. Its not a standard type as far as I know and I don't have a source for them aside from hacking them off dead pwr bricks. Maybe a crash course in making molded connectors will speed it along.....
Well, I know that the ColecoVision wasn't the only machine to use that odd 4 prong adapter. The TI-99 4A also shared the same connector for it's power-supply.

Maybe I should have taken care of it sooner, but it's not like I was trying to rip anyone off and I think it's wrong for people to just assume the worst in others. Sometimes things happen and things get delayed. I just wanted to throw that out, for what it's worth. But, if a public shaming would help:
SHAME ON ME! I'M SCUM! I SUCK!

So Christmas came a little late from my Sekrit Santa... but better late than never!
THANK YOU, YOU ROCK! Awesome set of clean games for my CV and a [email protected]$$ bag O my favorite candy!
Check it: (Woot! Woot!)

So, to answer the original question:
According to Kurtz's Encyclopedia of Video Arcade Games, TV Flipper is worth $150.
That sounds fair, working, and in good shape

According to Klov this is a very rare game. (Again, rarity isn't a reflection of value in these cases.) They don't have a photo. Someone should submit the one from craigslist. It would be a cool thing to have in the collection. And from what I read this is strictly a "Midway" branded game. Bally hadn't bought them yet? It also looks very dull as far as the gameplay goes. Still an interesting piece of history.

I loved this game til I got married....The wife provces to be a better Tapper than I!
The arcade version was always so great to hear in the arcade as the dancers would change the mood of the game!
My favorite part is when you get to the aliens. (And I didn't get a single bonus for finding the unshaken can.
)This was my score from the last time I played:

Video and audio mods would interest me. Is it possible to do s-video from the CV?
It is possible, but I don't have a line on the required mini din connector right now. So I'm just doing composite at this time. Using a board mount mini din with no provisions of panel mounting is a bit too much of a kludge for me. The video processor IC in the console puts out chroma-luma type video, so thats the easy part.
Its not like there is a huge difference in pix quality between composite and s-vid anyway. But composite is light years ahead of the old style RF "ch 3" in pix quality.
The power supply upgrade interests me.

What are the best Colecovision website's?
