When you release the new IM I'm definitely in. Great reading this thread today!

Another late suggestion: How about a a thorough history on where Coleco came from? The wikipedia tells us that in 1932 Coleco was founded by Maurice Greenberg as "Connecticut Leather Company" Co Le Co... But it would be coold to get a little more in depth than wikipedia. Or maybe that's all we know, I don't know. *shrug*

This is a very healthy perspective.

Dood. I totally see how to pick the right can now! Heheh.

Nice haul. :-) Is that a CodeBreakers NES game I see? -
Any interest in complete overhauls/upgrades?

Oh, OK. I run a 12V lamp on a couple of my spares with a modded switch replacement. Would that still work with a board that had the RAM replaced and the new power supply? Well, I know that the ColecoVision wasn't the only machine to use that odd 4 prong adapter. The TI-99 4A also shared the same connector for it's power-supply. -
So Christmas came a little late from my Sekrit Santa... but better late than never! THANK YOU, YOU ROCK! Awesome set of clean games for my CV and a [email protected]$$ bag O my favorite candy! Check it: (Woot! Woot!)

That sounds fair, working, and in good shape According to Klov this is a very rare game. (Again, rarity isn't a reflection of value in these cases.) They don't have a photo. Someone should submit the one from craigslist. It would be a cool thing to have in the collection. And from what I read this is strictly a "Midway" branded game. Bally hadn't bought them yet? It also looks very dull as far as the gameplay goes. Still an interesting piece of history.

My favorite part is when you get to the aliens. (And I didn't get a single bonus for finding the unshaken can. ) This was my score from the last time I played:

It is possible, but I don't have a line on the required mini din connector right now. So I'm just doing composite at this time. Using a board mount mini din with no provisions of panel mounting is a bit too much of a kludge for me. The video processor IC in the console puts out chroma-luma type video, so thats the easy part. Its not like there is a huge difference in pix quality between composite and s-vid anyway. But composite is light years ahead of the old style RF "ch 3" in pix quality. The power supply upgrade interests me. -
It just starts recycling the screens from there, but gets harder and faster! If you are playing on skill level 1, give a harder skill level a chance. If you want all out hell on wheels, choose skill level 4. So far I've reached just under 95,000 on skill 1.This game is truly addicting! As everyone stated, this is one of the best games on the ColecoVision. The only thing I don't like is when the guy comes and shakes the can. You cannot tell on the CV version where it is. It's just completely random.

Fujifilm makes Polaroid film...just go look on Amazon. Not for old Polaroid cameras. They do make a new instant film... but not for the camera pictured above. -
Excellent for the health of your son and your own health, too. Plus think about all that money you can save by not buying smokes. You can spend it on diapers and more video games. Yep, I was smoking around 40 cigarettes per day .... I'm now at 15 per day I hope to achieve my goal this year, and quit that damn poison for good Good Luck J-F. I quit for good back in 2003.

Wow! A Polaroid - does it work? It's funny. I already had a polaroid. They both would work except they don't make Polaroid film anymore. The film is actually what powers the camera since the battery is built into the film cartridges. You can get polaroid film on eBay but it's ridiculously priced and in extremely high demand. -
Heheh. Colder than Minneapolis! Be careful: First you look and the next thing you know you have your checkbook out. That's how I got my Robotron.

Hehehe. I like that.

my Roller controller doesnt seem to work....
Madaracs replied to lucifershalo's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
There are 2 optical sensors one for horizontal movement and another for Vertical. These sensors seem to either work 100% or not at all. I am not sure if new replacement sensors are available. You could just get a brand new one from here: http://www.collectorscardsandgames.com/new/Colecovision.html I've bought several games from him including one of these Roller Controllers and all of my transactions have been good. He has an overstock of Roller Controllers that were water damaged. The boxes are in rough shape but the controllers and games inside are unscathed and perfect. -
KLOV may be a better place to answer this. And, no offense to anyone here... they're going to be the audience that is better suited to have an opinion on Arcade collecting. Even from that small photo I can tell that machine is in excellent condition. And of course, the answer to these questions is always, "It depends on your buyer." It's really cool. Thanks for sharing. I'm pretty into Arcade games (I own Tron, Robotron, Solar Fox, Ms. Pac-Man and GP Monaco)--I've never seen one of these up close. Pretty cool.

My Ax Boc arrived. Thanks, Ax. That was fun. -
It really is quite cool... just for the game cart alone. Personally, I'd junk the controller though. The light gun is somewhat useless and they tend to burn out and break very quickly. You might save the nub for a real N64 controller. Just get a real Famicom or cheap toaster NES with an adapter to build your project.
