  1. I had both switches to B... I know I was using smooth movement... not lane by lane. I don't know if I was using the small or large read head.. I never switched the difficulty to see.
  2. Have no fear :-) The program will most likely run from the shell... as opposed to an X-Windows environment but that shouldn't matter :-)
  3. I will write a Linux version of the software shortly after it's initial release... Mac users are SOL... :-) It only works with a PC Parallel port :-) Do you use another OS?
  4. I don't think anyone is going to give you their protel or Gerber files for the PCB... but there are resources available.. and I'd be willing to help you make your own design.
  5. I plan to rent this game this weekend for XBox... the time has come...
  6. I've been playing around with the flash cart today a lot more than I have been working on it... (Wouldn't you?) ha ha ha... Anyway I've always wanted to play SCSIcide but couldn't because emulated paddle games is a waste of time... so I threw it in, and did pretty well for my first few tries.... I heard that if I could beat Joe's score of 175k he'd give me a free Pixels Past Koozie!!!!! and I can't pass up a free Koozie... think of the warm beer that was counting on me to succeed? 18C0CC was my best score... I tried again and couldn't even get close to that again... :-) perhaps now that I won the Koozie I have lost all motivation? :-) It would be interesting to see who can beat my score now.... (Todd's not invited )
  7. I heard that alcohaul will ruin the labels... I wouldn't try it.
  8. I am building a 2600 EEPROM flash cartridge... and AA does have PCB's in stock.. you just can't order them from the store, you have to special order them by E-Mail. What exactly do you want to know? I can tell you what each pin on the cartridge is for and what each ping on the EPROM is for... and where and why you need a signal inverter if you want.
  9. Yeah I have the beta images... I was just wondering if a release image was released yet.
  10. Shots of the cart itself were posted to page 2 of this thread http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16058
  11. Neither it is a homebrew... basically Space Invaders with kick ass on the end :-) More aliens horizontally then the 2600 was ever supposed to be able to display... It's really cool technically as well as it is to play. I wish I could find the release binary so I could throw it on the flash cartridge... :-) You havn't released that correct?
  12. I used to be the king of 2600 basketball :-) I havn't played it scince the 80's so I doubt I would be as good anymore... :-) God the graphics were crap though :-) ha ha. It takes skill to bounce a square ball...
  13. Price? ha ha ha ha ha no not yet :-) Some 8k games work... I'll take some shots of those... I really want to get shots of Marble Craze and Thrust up... but those aren't working just yet... I'm working hard to get them up though... And by request here are some Space Treat shots.
  14. Here is a shot of the flash software in action
  15. I promised some homebrew screen shots today... and here they are... Skeleton and Euchre... Euchre didn't come out too well... stupid cheap ass web cam. I've also taken a shot of Eric Ball's biggest fan... my four year old son Bobby... he actually finds it a lot more fun when the GOT YOU screen comes on then when he actually manages to get a Skeleton :-)

    need some help

Your question is confusing? Your game select switch on your 6 switch looks broken? but it still works?
  17. That burner will work.. but it is a little over the top :-) You have a couple options... You can buy one already made like that one... The pocket programmer is a popular one... allthough I saw one at Batronix that you can buy as a kit or assemebeled for about $50 I think. You can build one yourself... not very difficult at all. Writes just like an EEPROM except you need about 12.5v on the Vpp pin to "burn" the data. You also have to have an EPROM eraser... which is basically a high intensity UV light. You have to buy one of these... only crack smokers make their own :-) They cost about $40. All in all it's a little expensive to have.... unless you plan on manufacturing carts your best bet is to use a cuttle or flash cart for your gaming needs.
  18. OK... so after three days of trying I have to declare this game officially impossible....' I have mapped the mazes, but things happen during the game that force you to quit... usually bugs... For instance... I got trapped inside the picture frame once... I don't remember how but I think I was fighting a bat for something it had and it dropped the frame right on me. Once trapped in the picture frame I could not get out... Had to quit... Items routinely get trapped in walls... the only way to get them out is with the gravity item or with a bat... but if you use the bat it will just drop another item inside the wall you cannot get in it's place. I killed a dragon in a dark maze, and it's corpse blocked the path... I could not proceed... had to reset... so everything i had killed already was alive again. Two bats are too frustrating. I thought I had the 1 up on them by placing all my items behind the rift in the robot realm... but it seems the bats can make there way there as well.... and when the bats start losing your crap in the robot realm you're screwed. A bat stole the key for the yellow castle while I was inside of it, and locked me in by flying over the door. When it returned it had a different item... I had to reset... everything I killed was alive again... To this date I have yet to make it far enough to even see a piece of the chalice, let alone collect it. Maybe there is something I missed? But the "bugs" I mentioned above really mess it up. If the stuff with the bats is intentional, and adds to the extreme difficulty of the game... that is acceptable I guess... but I'm not keen about getting stuck in a maze because I killed a dragon in it...
  19. That picture at the top of the forums reminds my of the good old 200 bps modems you had to actually stick your phone handset on.... I'm guessing that's what it's supposed to be.
  20. If the mods lock this thread they will instantly be attacked by the Hozer supporters for "hiding" the information that could expose their conspiracy or what not.... The arguement ends with us... I am no longer responding to their rediculous accusations anymore... and I encourage everyone else to do the same... it's time for this to be put to rest.
  21. It almost looks like Galaga :-) That is cool though... I might make my own crappy console some day too :-)
  22. I thought it was determined to be a Taiwan Galaxian pirate.. I could be mistaken though.
  23. Camcorder or digital camera batteries work great, and last a long time.
  24. OK... I am done posting on this subject. In less then an hour another post will arrive here with "I never got my Thrust+ Thomas" or "Randy was legally entitled" or "You have no proof" bullcrap session... This discussion is over.... However I have one more thing for the next "Randy was right" post:
