(All based on TwinGalaxies Records) Why does he have the #1 score for just about every game? Why does he have some impossible scores? I remember the thread earlier about his barnstorming time, that was deemed impossible on a NTSC cart, so we all "assumed" it was done on a PAL cart, however no other explanation was given....? He also had a 23 in raiders, which is impossible. However when I brought it up to Ron, it was changed to 20, so maybe it was just a typo in the DB. Most of his games are Referee? Who is the ref that verifies this stuff? If you check it out, it has no store location? Maybe he really is a game guru, and has an unlimited amount of time to play these games, however to get the scores he has accumulated, 999,999 on ghost busters and FrostBite. 1,000,000 on laser blast, these are just the ones I've looked up, it just doesn't seem kosher I guess. I know these scores are not impossible to say the least, but for the same person to have ALL of them? And most of them verified by a nameless ref? Bah! Enough ranting.... I guess I'm just jelous he is so good I've been trying to break some records and get in the DBase however every game I want to try, guess who's already at the top???

Anygame larger than 4k is bankswitched. So you will only be able to play early games for the most part.

1. Cant help you here, an NES controller doesn't seem suited to Atari play much... 2. The supercharger has to be modified to support all 2k and 4k games, http://members.cox.net/rcolbert/scmod.htm click the link to Bob Colbert's page. He describes how to modify it to play all games. The cuttle card had enough RAM and smart bankswitching software to play just about every game ever made for the 2600... while a modded supercharger only gets you non bankswitched games (2k and 4k)

I know there are some TG folks here, so I wanted to ask this question here so the whole community knows the answer as well. I want to know if video taping an emulator session is legal? The video tape would clearly show the game was not "hacked" in any way, and all play was legal. I ask because there are some games I am very skilled at, but don't own, and I was thinking of making a submission, but wanted to make sure it was legal in the emulator.

Has anyone ever come up with a sure fire way of catching the ghost? Even if you get it trapped in the beams perfectly, its a random chance in hell the trap will actually get it, as the beams turn off when you hit the trap and the ghost flies off in a random direction. I also found when I was younger, that not buying the image increased my chances at catching the ghost, it seemed to fly more rapidly, thus increasing the chance it will hit the trap. Any thoughts?

Space Shuttle is my all time favorite, not sure how well it sold though... and Ghost Busters!!! Yeah baby, no one can run under the jumping staypuffed marshmellow man like me.

When I was a kid my mom worked for Atari, and both of my sixers have that very same box... I even still have the company store reciepts, she paid $80 for a reconditioned sixer in '80, and about $15 a game. These are 'way cool'.

That's it... I acctually got pretty good at avoiding the sissors if I remember correctly... I had all the skills with the rythym joystick movement -
With the upcoming release of my homebrew, well I think I'm still a couple months off, I need to get the circuit design for an F8 bankswitched cart. I know it was posted here a while ago, but the thread has been deleted and I can't track it down.... If someone has this "schematic" can you post it for me, or PM It to me... thanks!

In 1984 with a bunch of hyperactive 14 year old kids, I thought it was the funniest and funnest thing ever... however playing it emulated by yourself, probably won't get you the same reaction. -
Sorry to bring this post back from the dead... Just sounded like something fun to do :-) :-)

Solaris is the #1 game for the console as far as pushing the envelope of what it can do... But don't forget Space Shuttle. I still can't figure how the screens were assembeled for that one. And what is also great about the all mighty Activision is all of their games had the little animated Activision logo at the bottom.

Reading through my Raiders manual today, I noticed a reference to a special signature screen for a very high score... I know it has been stated that a perfect score on Raiders is impossible. Has this mystery screen ever been spotted? I've got it dissasembeled somewhere and I'm going to have to look at the code to see what adds and subtracts points to see if I can reach this supposed screen. Or does someone already know the secret? The atariage entry for this game states: "Enable the "Yar appearance" code. Then continue game play and obtain a high score. "HSW2", the initials of programmer Howard Scott Warshaw, will appear in the inventory after the game has been completed. Note: The "2" indicates that this was his second game." Is Yar Appearance really necessary? And how do you obtain a high score?

What's the one where you have to avoid the stupid moving "face" in a random maze environment... Your goal is to get to the door in the middle of the maze, without getting touched by the "face"... when you do you have to use your skills to get the woman to orgasm... I played it once at a friends house and can't remember what it was called, I think it's X-Man... we played it for hours laughing it up... -
That effect really is cool, altho I still give my money to Solaris' Corridors.

Jakks Pacific Atari 10-in-1 Game System Review...
Cupcakus replied to Curt Vendel's topic in Atari 2600
I was so excited about this product too... Just because it had adventure... Oh well, I guess I'll have to make my own at some point. -
Not to worry my friends... I am finalizing several flash cart designs to get them out for production... Some will look just like regular carts for flashing ROMS and playing them on a regular VCS, and some will be proprietary small flash carts, for an atari handheld device I hope to design with this chip. Only time will tell tho.

That's not a blithering idiot... that's Luther and he destroys the Gond... Duh!!!! Don't you know anything.

has any one thought of writing a game for the supercharger??
Cupcakus replied to broncoman's topic in Atari 2600
Hozer, carry's those two games... Bob Colbert also claims to be writing a game for the supercharger, he posted the way the cassette holds data for the supercharger on his web site, as well as how to modify it to play all 4k games. Pretty cool stuff. -
I could NEVER figure this game out...

Why would they read the exclamation point first? Silly eastern countries.
