I love it, good score. nice addition to any game room/bar/game room/bar/bar/bar. I need a beer.

I guess I would tend to agree with you about the ups and downs. I also see with the economy people trying to get more for their belongings. I haven't made a decent haul at a thrift store in a while but garage sales are improving and the pawn shops are getting a ton. I tend to feel a little dirty inside after buying from the pawns though. I feel like I stripped someone elses childhood memories to improve mine. Maybe I'm thinking too much.

I hear ya I got my first 2600 when I was 5 and nes at 7 I'm 29. I know there's some room in there give or take.
-
The ET cart brought the price down. Just kidding, that's not a bad deal for a boxed jr. with the games.

I had this thought from another topic I posted tonight. Has the atari 2600 peaked as far as prices go? The reason I ask is that the NES seems to be getting alot more attention lately. My thoughts are the age of the people that truly appreciated these systems are moving forward. The 2600 came out in 1977 and the nes in 1985 in the USA. Is the generation gap vs. money and nostalgia coming into play. The people that would remember playing the 2600 as children would have been born between 1972 and 1980 roughly and the nes between 1980 and 1987 maybe <-----just guessing not trying to be really exact. For me the nostalgia factor kicked in in my early 20's. My thoughts are people generally go to college or get adjusted in their lives and careers in their mid 20's through mid 30's. The people that really enjoyed the 2600 have peaked and made enough money in their respective careers to afford the games they want for the 2600 and have come close to establishing their respective collections. Now the NES is blowing up in value. I'm thinking this generation is now getting in to the same place in life thus making the nes the next gen to really experience inflation. any thoughts?

Is a complete collection worth this much?
gamer4ever replied to gamer4ever's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I think it's crazy at that many copies produced it should be an R7 and there's like 16 games for the nes that are this rare and way cheaper. At least quadrun is a good game too. -

I've got to wonder if this game really is as rare as everyone thinks it is. Granted, I've never found one in the wild, so it's scarce, but not FOUR DIGITS scarce. It's not an Earthbound proto. Would I spend that? Probably, but only if I'd managed to get every other game and that was the absolute last piece of the puzzle. Otherwise, I'd keep skimming the thrift store bins. right I agree but how many people are that close to a complete ntsc nes collection. Is there really a lot of people who are that close to justify this amount. -

Buy games, I'm not saying to stop collecting but pay this much for stadium events seems a little outlandish. Another question I forgot to ask is, does the pal version of this game play in an ntsc toaster nes? -
ntsc stadium events Okay I don't get this. I'd say about four maybe five years ago this game sold for $400-500 at most. Now its well over a thousand every time. People are paying a thousand dollars for world class track meet with a different label, Why? Same as Loch Jaw for the 2600, its the same game as shark attack. Does a complete collection of ntsc nintendo games matter that much to people to pay this amount of cash in our broken economic times for the sake of completeness? This is a garbage game with a different label that was briefly produced and no one really has an estimated number of copies that actually exist. Whats the guess 500 copies exist? I just want to know why anyone would sacrafice this much on a game that is mediocre at best for nothing more than a label?? any insight? P.S. I don't mean to sound hostile just really confused.......

Well, depends what region. In the U.S., you don't have to worry about finding darxide, that game is stupid expensive CIB. And then if you want japan, some dumb sports games are rare because nobody there cared to buy them. I guess just wondering about a complete NTSC collection. Does anybody have darxide? Is that game any good? :!: Japan is NTSC also. Okay, Not NTSC-J.
-
Supposedly only 1500 copies exist. I think there's more though. Seems to be pretty easy to acquire, at least on ebay. I've never run across this one in the wild. Complete copies seem tougher to come by.

Picked up an NES today
gamer4ever replied to kyle's topic in Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) / Famicom
Great deal, the nes is an awesome system. Around here you can get an nes for $40, by itself. Nice snag, what games did you pick up? -
What is the value of a complete Sega 32x collection? This includes all the games complete with box and manuals? Just wondering on an estimated value.
-
I'm sure it's a pirate or something of that nature. I'd like to see some confirmation on what it is though.
-
I agree that's a really good point.
-
Nice, what's a super rare fing winner?
-
Tell him to get bent. I've eaten shipping costs because of my mistakes. He probably didn't get the amount he wanted for this and is trying to make up for it. Another reason ebay sux. I think I'll be signing up for an account on chase soon.

When did these become playable on the Atari 2600 system?
gamer4ever replied to Atarimania75's topic in Auction Central
I've broken several sonic carts trying to insert them into my 2600. I should start a frivolous lawsuit against this guy, LOL. -

Hi everyone I'm John. This is my first post on atariage. I've been poking around here on and off for years. I figured I would finally join the community. Does anyone know how many sega genesis club titles where released? Please list the names if you know what they are. the ones I know are: 1. Math Blaster episode 1 <----was there a #2 in the works? 2. Crystal's Pony Tale 3. Berenstain Bears Camping Adventure Where these titles mail order only? Thanks.
