  1. I am selling off my Cuttle Cart. I picked up a version 2 and don’t need both of them. I don’t have the floppy with the software, but everything else is there. *&*& You can get the software you need at: http://www.schells.com/cuttlecart.shtml I used to run it using my @migo Pocket PC, and that worked great. My ebay id is monochrome Not really looking for trades (unless it's Star Wars Lego II: The Original Trilogy and Clash of the Ninja 2 for Gamecube)
  2. Where can you get intv joysticks? I like the intv disc, but my wife hates it. She will only use a right hand joystick, with the fire button on the left. The atari was the last and only system to use sticks like that. Arghhh. I have to make custom sticks for all my system, or she will not play, except for bomberman.
  3. The intellicart and cuttle carts rock! I got one of the last intellicarts also. Where is there a cart like this for the vectrex? I am getting tired of burring rom's all the time for the vectrex. I am slowly working on a pocket pc program for the intellicart like the playbin for the cuttlecart. Just hook a serial cable up an pocket pc. This will be my first pocket pc program, and my first program using a serial port. Lot's of learning to do. On a just beacuse I can note, at the cincy classic show I got a system changer for the intv and it worked, so I pluged the cuttle cart in it, and the few games I tried worked fine.
  4. Well DK does not work in the intv II. Not the real cart nor the intellicart version. Shark Shark worked. I only played for like 30 sec tho. I complied the .bin to .rom program (allmost under windows ce (works fine with win2k)), and now I just need to figure out how to make the Pocket PC download data on the serial port.
  5. I just got my intellicart, but have had no problems loading games on and INTV II. I have not tried DK or SHark!, but will later today and let you know. I do know that the old INTV I speech module works with the II and the intellicart. Also, do you know if there is a pocket PC program to download the rom's? Or will I have to learn to program for windows ce?
  6. I have 2 of them, but the buttons are red, not yellow. I just got them a few days ago at a flea market. It was with a heavy sixer sears tele-games system. Don't know anything else about them, but they rock. I love the wind-up cord.
  7. Barbie's Dream Joystick....
  8. Based on the "Did you know?" boxes on the AA main page, Space Invaders was considered one of the first Killer App's for the 2600. I'm guessing it means the game that everyone has to get and makes people purchase the system. I think HALO was considered a kiler app for the XBOX. The first 'killer app' was Visa Calc for the Apple ][. It was the first spreadsheet, and the first real business software for a computer. It's now a term applied to that 1 software program that makes the hardware worth while.
  9. It's for the full size arcade unit. For what I understand the question are stored on the tape, and are loaded in when somebody is playing the games. Like that old home computers that stored stuff on tapes, before floppies. That way there are many many many questions, without taking up ram. Ram was very very very expensize back then. That game probley had less than 256k. (1/4 of a meg). Probley more like 14k . Data East did this with some games. I have a Burger Time that was on a mini-tape. Just change the security device and tape and viola a new game.
  10. Sounds like it's not making a good connection with the 2600. Do other 3rd party carts work fine? It might be the contacts on the atari need to be bent out a wee bit to make better contact. Maybe the cuttle cart's pcb is just a fraction bit thinner, causing the bad contact.
  11. So does goo gone have any ill effects? What about Simple Green? I was thinking about cleaning my carts, but now am having 2nd thoughts... What's the best way to clean the contacts?
  12. On the dvd, you might want to check out http://www.dvdtalk.com in there forums, but it probley has something to do with it shifting levels or layers. I just found a small bumber sticker that was given away when the Tron game first hit arcades. I remember the arcade had a Tron with an other monitor on top so the gathered masses could watch as a player played. Their was a long line, and you got to play it for Free!!!, When it was my turn my first screen was the light cycles and I died very fast. Did a bit better on the tanks, and then you got a sticker and a person was there asking questions. I will scan it in today or tomorrow. You can see my Tron at : http://www.staticguy.com/2600/FrameSet.htm. My cats love to sleep on top of it, so I put a blanket up there.
  13. All I have to say is Mutant League Hockey 4 player. Wow. Many a night was and still is spent on that game, and maybe a bit of beer.
  14. I need a place like that. Nice. Well my house is my collection. Here is a pic of right behind me, also know as the dinning room. I am in the process of cleaning all my atari's, getting ready for the CincyClassic this weekend. I need to get more organized. My basement is much worse. And a few more photos at: http://www.staticguy.com/2600/FrameSet.htm
  15. It was used on the Kee Games Quiz Show arcade game: From the KLOV Technical the game used a strange magnetic tape loading mechanism for the questions. Additional tapes could be purchased with alternate sets of questions. It is unclear whether this was an 8-track tape or a normal cassette. Questions were streamed off the tape directly to the screen. http://www.klov.com/Q/Quiz_Show.html
  16. Thanks. Tron rocks. That movie inspired me to collect arcade games. I allways wanted to live above an arcade. I am getting closer all the time.
  17. All your Donkey Kongs are belong to us!
  18. I want to do the rca a/v hack to my 2600's but I have found a few different ones, and want to make sure I do the best one. I have no problem knowing which end of an iron to hold, and have repaired many a arcade pcb. I have all version of the 2600 so I can do the best hack on the best system. Or should I just do the 7800 s-video hack, and use the cuttle cart with it?
  19. Atari does rock the funky beat. As a youth I had an Intellivision, but all my friend had atari. Now I have the atari. MOOHAHAHA!! (sorry, it's early for me)
  20. I'll be there both days. This year I am getting a table, because I need to sell off my 2600 carts, includeing q-bert qubes, and some systems And also any other console/computer stuff I find in my basement. It's been too many month unemployed, and the cash is running out. Probley will have lots of ti/99 and 130xe systems. Of course I need lots of vextrex stuff, so that's where all my money will go.
