    Holy Shatner, the Vita's been hacked? I honestly had no idea... now I've gotta give this a look.

    You really should. A TN-V'd or VHBL'd Vita is literally the best homebrew/emu machine money can buy. It's got all of the awesome features of the PSP without all of the shoddy features, like the mushy controls and the shitty screen.

    Basically everything available for the PSP. That's because they've only cracked the Vita's PSP emu, and not the Vita itself. What's really unfortunate is that all of this relies on exploited PSP games, which Sony patches within days of the exploit being released. New exploit games are released every few months, so if you miss one you're stuck waiting.

    Exactly. Don't encourage the bad games by paying top-dollar for them, even if you have enough money to keep up with all of them. Buy the kinds of games that you like and that you intend to play. Hobbies are supposed to be fun, so nobody should ever be stressing out over buying homebrew games.

    Double exactly. Half of the problem is homebrew collectors who buy literally anything that comes out. If people are tired of seeing lazy Pong and Space Invaders rehashes being sold for $40 a pop, just stop buying them.

    The junk hardware I refer to is the original base ColecoVision unit itself. Back in the day I had 2 of them that failed. Knowing what I know today I would suspect it was the VDP. And I suspect they went bad from the intermittent sparking and flaky nature of the 12V line from that huge powerbrick where it connected (!) to the console. Not to mention the rickety feel of the "high-impact" ABS plastic the console was constructed out of. The metal shielding around the mainboard wasn't properly mounted and buffered in the housing and tended to have a short duration rattling sound. Compared to a Heavy Sixer or even a Light Sixer, the CV build quality was bottom of the barrel.

     

    Some of my best classic gaming was done on the CV back in the day. Looping, Zaxxon, CosmicAvenger, SpaceFury, DKjr, all great stuff! Make no mistake.

     

    But I still despise BLUE LED's they have simply gotta go.

    Please keep messaging him. See how long you can stretch it out. The poor guy's heart might give out before you're finished toying with him though.

    I just so happened to message him again yesterday. I honestly dropped the largest bomb on him that I could think of:

    I thought I could get him with that one. There's no real way to respond to a message like the one above and win; you either fight back and look like a dick, accept, or just never respond.     I don't know if I'd be so confident of priority mail boxes being a safe shipping alternative. They have become very thin recently and I have actually had items shipped to me in them with interior padding where the box was crushed in and the item was damaged. It seems to be happening on a regular basis so I suspect in an effort to combat all the free box misuse, they went cheap on the construction and legitimate users are paying the price.

    The financial Titanic known as the USPS has much bigger problems than people bogarding their free boxes.

    They are only free if you are using Priority Mail, which is more expensive for packages that are 13 ounces or less. Anything over that and you are using either Priority Mail and can use the free boxes, or you're using Parcel Post, which isn't much less expensive than Priority Mail. Unfortunately, the USPS boxes come in some oddball shapes and sizes and aren't always ideal. So, I often use my own boxes for Priority Mail, unless it's an item that is well-suited to one of the USPS boxes.

    I normally just wrap the priority box in brown paper and ship it first class. There's no excuse.

    Dorf Fortress is one of those games that are fun to talk about but not actually fun to play.

     

    However, I'm sure if one reads the 500+ page player's guide and watches a couple of hours of youtube videos they're bound to have some fun with the game. Eventually. Maybe. I hope.

    I usually just say "Thanks for the offer, but I am going to let the auction play out." I usually don't get a reply after that.

     

    Technically, he is right about adding a BIN, but there is no excuse for being a complete douche-bag and telling you about his salary and 400,000 house. That is just laughable.

    People were already bidding on it, and in my opinion that's a big no no. I've seen too many threads on AA were people were screwed out of a game they wanted because "that guy" swooped in and side-dealed it before the auction ended.

    So, I was selling a couple of NES games on ebay, when I got a message from a user named giavana13. He asked:

     

    "hello im shopping around for a contra game but I can only spend 20$ would you let it go for that price with shipping. If you can let me know and set up a buy now I will pay for it rite away. Thank you."

     

    Personally, ebay side deals piss me off so I went with the ol' "against the rules" excuse.

     

    "Side deals are against ebay rules and I refuse to particpate. Thanks, BDW"

     

    This is where things get interesting. Out of nowhere, this guy goes absolutely off the deep end.

     

    "what are you talking about , Im not trying to set a side deal direct through paypal. I never said that dude, im asking if you want to do a buy now deal at a lower price loll. Oviously your confused and an idiot. There is no rule against setting a deal as a buy now at a lower price and ending an auction. As long as there are no bids on the item. so get it right moron, Im all set anyways I struck a deal on one over the weekend. the seller pulled him off auction and sold him to me directly through ebay as a buy now. your a fool dude before you make statements like that at people like im cheating the system know what your talking about. ive been buying and selling on ebay for like 8 years retard I know the rules. stick your contra game up your tight ass dude."

     

    I decide to take the relative high road and reply with the following:

     

    "Wow, you really convinced me to sell you that game with your well thought out and polite post. You should probably get your schizophrenia checked out, at least before you graduate high school. I don't think most employers tolerate that kind of stuff.

    Have a good day."

     

    If you thought the previous message message was inflammatory, this next one really takes the cake.

To be quite honest I do just fine im going through life making $92,000 a year selling seafood by the tonnage to places you shop at like Walmart, or maybe Win Dixie, or oh ya here is another one Sysco. I own my own $400,000 dollar house and I drive a 2008 Escalade. I have an awesome family wife and kids and my life is as pretty as a pink pussy. So their is nothing your gay ass could ever say or do to upset me homo. your just an asshole with a piece of shit game that im buying for my son. I just like a good deal its in my nature im in sales.     To which I responded with:

    Anyone else deal with crazy people like this on a regular basis? I know there are some real active ebayers on here and I'd like to hear some stories.
