  1. Squeaky wheel gets the oil, Curt should just refund your money and be done with you. I collect all things Atari and have since 1979, I have always been a big fan. But when I got sick anybody could have taken a sledge hammer to my collection and I could have cared a less, When your faced with your own mortality little things like that are irrelevant. My heart problem screwed up my life for a year in a half. I guess Curt should have done a better job of planning when he got sick to better fit your schedule. Anybody that has faced death will understand this

Although I admittedly didn't preorder the XM, I have been kinda this for a couple of years. You're (kinda) right with your post: what needs to be done now is refunds. From my casual observation, the XM has gone the way of Knight Rider 2600.... Often promised, but never delivered. If this issue is honestly harming Curt as much as he says it is, ties need to be severed. Time to stop beating the dead horse and bury it.

    It's time to move on.

  2. *insert sob story about needing money here*

NOTE: I'm already sick and tired of people asking for a shipping quote then cutting off contact all together. For every individual game, shipping will be $3 for the first item and then $1.50 for each item after that. If I end up overcharging you, I'll refund you the difference after the item is shipped. That way you'll be charged exact shipping in the end.

And no, shipping for consoles wont be $3. Nice try you silly gooses :3

Now that we got that out of the way, I'm selling a whole bunch of stuff. Everything is not including shipping. I only take Paypal. Feel free to PM me for more pics of any item.

Pics for new stuff will be up momentarily.

    Centipede

    AtariForce #1(The mini comic)

Atari Force #1 (The full size DC comic)

    CONSOLES:

    Sega Saturn: $50 NEW

Console works just fine. Includes a controller, all the cables you need to hook it up, Virtua Fighter 2, and one of those fancy Memory Card Plus dingers. Excuse the shitty pic, this is the best I can do with the current lighting. I'll get another pic up tomorrow when the sun is up. But I assure you, the console has no cosmetic problems.

Virtual Boy: $65 (Or, take the console with all the games for $100) PRICE LOWERED

Once again, everything works as expected. Does not include a stand. Controller does not have a battery pack, but I do have a DIY'd rechargeable battery pack that I can include. I've been using it for years, but use at your own risk. Includes Mario Tennis.

    PS2:

Final Fantasy X-2 (CIB) $10: Disc is pretty much scratch free. I'd keep this if I wasn't so damn bad at RPGs. PRICE LOWERED

    SATURN:

Fighters Megamix: $15 (With Box and Manual)

On both of these, the cases have light scratches on the front. Sonic R has a minty disc while Fighters Megamix has light scratches on the disc but it is 100% playable.

  3. A couple of billion dollars can do that...faster than you can snap your fingers.

I hate to say it, but Valve doesn't have "facebook" kind of money. The marketing alone, necessary to compete with the likes of FB, MS and Sony would be cost prohibitive...to say the least. Total bummer IMHO.

Valve already had a VR prototype before the Oculus Rift came out; hardware is not an issue. Marketing wouldn't, either. Sometimes people forget that Valve has 90%+ of the PC gaming market cornered. All they have to do is throw their prototype on the frontpage of steam and millions of people will see it. Besides, they wouldn't even be competing with Sony or Facebook. Facebook is looking to make the "ultimate social experience" (ie waste their money), and Sony is looking to have VR for the PS4 exclusively.

  4. While it's true that Neo-Geo owners tend to have an elitist attitude (I've been know to wear a monocle or two while partaking), I'm not sure 'elitist' is the first word I'd use to describe exactly what's going on over there. I'd say it's more like '4chan with retrogames.'

I wouldn't go that far. 4chan has an excellent retrogaming board (/vr/), which is by far one of the most cancer free. There's plenty of cool stuff, like an active translation project and a recent aquisition thread.

Neo-geo.com is a wayyyy shittier place.

  5. If you haven't yet, buy the Postal 2 complete pack. It's still on sale until 12 CST tomorrow, for $2.50 (Steam).

    This badboy has:

    The base game

    Share the Pain add on

    Apocalypse weekend expansion

None of you have an excuse

  6. Yea... there was stuff I could have gotten, but I only picked up SimCity 4 (runs fine under wine) and the expansions to Civilization V. Some stuff would never run on my computer, and I avoided a lot of impulse purchases by asking myself "when will I have the time to play that...". Too much unplayed stuff already.

Tell me about it. I probably haven't even played half of the stuff in my library.

  7. I've got a good question:

How do you guys plan out your yard sale/garage sale/flea market days? Do you scour the newspaper, check Craigslist, or even use some of the new yard sale apps I've heard about? Do you draw out a map and work outward in a circle or something? I've never caught on to how to be 'efficient' at it. I always end up going to 1 or 2 of them and then my entire day is gone and all the good stuff is already sold, more than likely, so I end up going home. I can hit a couple local thrift stores, but never really flea markets or yard sales. Let me in on your secrets! :)

I normally just use the newspaper.

But, today I just ran across a garage sale that was in my neighborhood. I walked out with 3 complete PC games: Prey ($2), Dead Space ($2), and Quake 4 ($1). I'm feeling pretty good!
