Didn't end up buying much this year, just Castle Crashers and DaS. Both seem to run fine under wine. Sales were kind of underwhelming this year.

Got some nice stuff over the weekend. Vinyl: In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida - Iron Butterfly -- $1 Ball - Iron Butterfly - $1 Vidya Gaem stuff: Vectrex -- $30 The Vectrex was a total steal, I was able to chisel $15 off the guy selling it. The controller works excellently, but the unit emits the characteristic Vectrex buzz.

I normally just use the newspaper. But, today I just ran across a garage sale that was in my neighborhood. I walked out with 3 complete PC games: Prey ($2), Dead Space ($2), and Quake 4 ($1). I'm feeling pretty good!

Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other guy whips out his phone and calls the emergency services. He gasps, "My friend is dead! What can I do?" The operator says "Calm down. I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead." There is a silence, then a gun shot is heard. Back on the phone, the guy says "OK, now what?"

From what I've seen (at least on this forum), is that very few people care about VGA rated games. Most people here don't buy games as display pieces; they buy the games to play them. When keeping that in mind, a decent GH SOTN is worth around $20-$30. Fall of the Foot Clan is an extremely common Gameboy game. It isn't worth that much.

If you're thrifting just for the sake of finding old video games, save your money and your gas. That era has passed. Yep, I haven't found much in traditional thrift stores lately. Most of my local finds are pawn shops or Value Village and both are usually overpriced. Same goes for me. It seems that everything has been dead around here for the past year.

Out of the 27 Black Sabbath bootlegs that I have, I cannot find a single instance of Dio singing "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath". It's a real shame, too, because his singing would have been perfect for that song.

It is a common problem, but there is a simple solution. Older PSP games like that don't like mem sticks over 2GB. All you have to do is fill your stick so it has less than 2GB of space left.
